Many countries have banned non-stunned halal slaughter, such as Belgium (regions), Sweden, Norway, Iceland, Denmark, Slovenia, Liechtenstein, Switzerland & Finland (in practice).

Science shows animals remain conscious during Halal slaughter for seconds to minutes, with EEG-verified brain activity & surges of stress hormones (cortisol, adrenaline), impacting welfare & meat quality.

For record, you don’t have to be vegetarian to care about animals or question harmful practices.
