So a man walked up to a Muslim employee at a kiosk in a mall yesterday, asked for water, and as the employee turned he stabbed him 15 times, saying he “intends to kill Muslims” and is planning mass casualty events.
Anti-Muslim hate crimes keep happening and no one even blinks.
not to get too personal but one thing we don't talk about enough is how expensive it is to put your life back together after a long period of dysfunction and self neglect
The way people respond to a bubbly personality really concerns me. Ever since I was a kid I noticed how people try to break your spirit when you’re too nice, too happy, too outgoing, too friendly. People that wanna know why you’re so gung-ho are unwell and are out to get you
i dislike being around people who lack emotional intelligence and self regulation. it just irks my soul. if you cannot see things outside of yourself and how you’re harming others, you will never evolve. intention has nothing to do with impact
People don’t understand the impact of a good environment. It can change you in the most profound ways mentally and emotionally. The spaces and people you’re around shape your mindset more than you realize. When your environment is healthy, you respond better to everything.
i once heard someone say “if there are 12 Nazis in a room and they ask you to have dinner with them and you agree, then there are 13 Nazis in that room” and i think a lot of people fundamentally don’t understand that. but it’s 100% true.
Its funny how everyone's idea of heaven is a complete untouched paradise, crystal clear waters, lush green forests, enough food for everyone, classless, moneyless, stateless, a Utopia of peace, unity andhappiness. But here on earth it's considered a leftist ideology.
One conviction I hold strongly is that the greatest gift a parent can give a child is healthy self-esteem. Skills can be learned, opportunities can come and go, but believing you have inherent worth and the confidence to engage the world shapes almost everything that follows.
i think one of the worst parts about having a chronic mental illness is your friends will ask what’s making you sad so they can support you but there’s nothing. there’s nothing Wrong, it’s just my brain and you can’t fix that
the fact that the israeli soldiers who are being killed in Lebanon are the same ones who committed the genocide in Gaza tells you that there is no justice in this world but in the hands of those who seek it.
I just learned that if you are neurodivergent the best way to get respect out of neurotypicals is by being aggressive and mean because they perceive those type of people as high value & kindness as low value. Where as neurodivergent ppl view kindness and empathy as high value and aggression as low value.
The neurodivergent ick when you realize mid-convo that correcting them is pointless because they'd need self-awareness and emotional intelligence to even process that they're wrong.
