@a_hayes5x5@WickedPanda@NEAToday How is that not exclusionary? I didn’t choose to identify as my son’s mother, his birth mom picked me & I would never simplify the gravity of her decision down to something I ‘identify’ as.
@MissusDoubleA@NEAToday Yes to c-section, but not by me. My son is adopted. Please tell me how to explain this to my son and his birth mom who picked me to be his mother. This is elitist and exclusive language. Where do foster and adopted babies belong? Let’s do better!
@GovRonDeSantis Florida has some of the most adoption friendly laws in the country. The agencies we’ve worked w/ in FL provide a lot of support for expectant moms during and after pregnancy too. Proud to say my son is a Florida native!
@prageru Love this - brings back fond memories. I had a veteran who volunteered in my classroom, and he would do the same thing every time we said the pledge of allegiance. 🇺🇸
@EricTheStory@EricTheStory I used to have similar views until I adopted a child. I continue to walk that journey with his birth mom and love her to pieces. The whole experience changed my soul. Tell Geo hi!✨
Poem in your pocket day! Randomly throughout the day Ss had to read their poem in their pocket out loud. They loved it! @SharpReaders thanks for the poems! #NationalPoetryMonth#poetry
Two emails and a hand written letter from former students. Plus this custom made pillow for my son. All reminders of why I love teaching. 💕 #centerSD@TopDogTeaching
Ss ‘flagged’ any of the problems they were uncertain about while taking the practice MAP test. We then analyzed the common errors of those problems together. Great discussions and problem solving! #TuesdaysinTraining#centerSD
Ss made inferences during independent reading, and created Google slides of their weekly vocabulary. They will write a mystery using their vocabulary words in context on Friday! #Inferencing#vocabulary#CenterSD#TuesdaysinTraining
