October is Menopause Awareness Month. Women deserve clear answers and support as they navigate this stage of life.
Yesterday, @POTUS established the @WhiteHouse Women’s Health Task Force to advance research and improve care throughout women’s lives, including menopause. Thank you to @FLOTUS for championing this effort.
Today, Dr. Stephanie Haridopolos, Director of National Health Communications for the Office of the Surgeon General, joined @NIH’s Dr. Dorothy Fink and @ARPA_HDirector at the @WhiteHouse for the signing of an executive order advancing research and care for women at every stage of life.
The order directs the establishment of a new Women’s Health Division at NIH and creates a White House Women’s Health Task Force to strengthen research, accelerate medical breakthroughs, and turn discoveries into better care.
Thank you to @POTUS, @FLOTUS, @SecKennedy, and @SusieWiles47 for your leadership and work to make this milestone possible.
.@thejusticedept is taking action to schedule dangerous concentrated 7-OH following an HHS recommendation based on scientific and medical findings. This is a step toward preventing harm and keeping dangerous concentrated products off shelves.
Thank you @POTUS and @SecKennedy for your leadership, and to Dr. Stephanie Haridopolos and everyone at @HHSgov who helped advance this goal in the MAHA Strategy to protect Americans and Make America Healthy Again.

The Administration for Children and Families @ACFHHS at @HHSGov this morning announced that federally-approved evidence-based prevention services now extend to expectant parents. Under an amendment to the Child Welfare Policy Manual, children prior to birth are now recognized as “candidates for foster care” by the Trump Administration, meaning states may receive federal reimbursement for approved Title IV-E prevention services provided to expectant mothers and fathers.

Under the leadership of @SecKennedy, HHS will always stand in support of children and families.
Today, @ACF_Adams and @Dr_Haridopolos announced that expectant parents are now eligible to receive federally-funded services that teach parenting skills, strengthen mental health, and address substance use disorder in hopes of preventing unnecessary entry into foster care.
These prevention services are now available for moms and dads whose baby is determined to be a "candidate for foster care." Providing support to a struggling parent before a baby is born strengthens families and reduces the risk of a child welfare involvement in the future.
This week at @HHSGov, I had the honor of providing remarks at U.S. Public Health Service Nutrition Seminar, where officers came together for a nutrition symposium focused on one of the nation’s most pressing public health challenges: the rising burden of nutrition-related chronic disease.
The seminar gave officers an opportunity to strengthen their understanding of nutrition science, the evidence behind dietary guidance, and practical approaches to improving health across the populations and communities they serve.
Equipping the Commissioned Corps with current, evidence-based nutrition knowledge can help translate science into prevention—supporting healthier lives and reducing the burden of chronic disease.
Thank you, @SecKennedy, for your leadership in empowering the Office of the Surgeon General to develop an advisory addressing the harms of screen use and helping protect the health and well-being of our nation’s children and adolescents.
We’re not just looking at how food affects our children.
@SecKennedy: “We’re examining how screen use affects children including sleep, physical activity, social interactions, and development.” 📵
Today, Dr. Stephanie Haridopolos joined leaders at “Building a Healthier America: CMS ACCESS and a New Chapter in Health Innovation” to mark the launch of the CMS ACCESS Model.
During Healthy Aging Month, Dr. Haridopolos highlighted how ACCESS can help people with Medicare better manage chronic conditions while preserving patient choice and the trusted relationship between patients and their clinicians.
By focusing on meaningful health outcomes and supporting care beyond the doctor’s office, ACCESS can help older Americans live healthier, more independent lives.
On this 25th commemoration of September 11, the Office of the Surgeon General honors the lives lost, the heroes who answered the call to serve, and all those forever changed by that day.
We will never forget.
At the very place where the Belmont Report was developed, Dr. Stephanie Haridopolos, Director of National Health Communications for the Office of the Surgeon General and Principal Deputy Assistant Secretary for Health, reflects on its lasting impact on human research protections.
Nearly 50 years later, its principles continue to guide ethical research and protect those who participate.
NEW: Health care providers can now earn free continuing education credit while learning about the evidence on screen use and how to help families protect children’s health and well-being.
Dr. Haridopolos and @DrOzCMS explain why it matters.
Too much screen use can disrupt sleep, affect learning, and expose kids to harmful content. Today’s Live Real Life Symposium highlights why reducing harmful screen use matters and how families, schools, and communities can help kids get back to real‑life connection, play, and growth.
