@lanatheteacher @PISD_RISE Yes, I agree on making sure they understand not to be afraid to ask questions and that everyone in the classroom is a team. I did the same by incorporating this aspects in my class 😊

@PISD_RISE A15: As a new teacher going in mid year. I had to get to know my students first, build that relationship with them. Then let them know my class was a safe zone. They knew not to be afraid to ask questions, be kind etc. #PISDRiseChat

@PISD_RISE A trigger for me is when a student has an attitude and argue when being redirected for their behavior. When everything could have been prevented. I usually stop and let the situation calm down and we talk it out and explain the situation #PISDRisechat

@PISD_RISE A7: I have had a hard to control my emotions but understanding them a bit more after reading helped a lot but I agree with the author reactions can be controlled. something I need to improve on and I agree that emotional intelligence it’s something to work on. #PISDRiseChat

@NicoleRam2020 @PISD_RISE Yes at times we have to pull certain techniques for them to stop and think like wait a minute the teacher is making this to be a positive. Then they end up turning stuff around lol

@PISD_RISE A6: I think the one that stands out to me is “Follow your own advice.” We tend to give others great advice for situations but we forget to follow the same. We tend to do something that we would advice someone else on. #pisdRISEchat
