Difficult fire in very difficult terrain @SWFireandRescue crews with support from @AirbourneHeli worked really hard to keep the head fire from entering the @NatResWales forestry. Fire is approx 7 hectares with a fire front on the steep slope of approx 700 metres
The more tools in the wildfire toolbox the more chance services will have to succeed. Building robust partnerships can reduce the severity of wildfires

With a much welcomed focus on the risk of illness to firefighters from fire contamination. It's worth remembering the risk still persists long after the fire is out. Especially for investigators, who spend hours digging in the dirt https://t.co/hCgwYQh43F #fbudecon#firefighter
