At least six Kurdish Peshmerga forces were killed and 22 wounded in a rocket attack on their base north of Erbil in Iraq’s Kurdistan region on Tuesday, Reuters reported citing security and Peshmerga sources as saying.
The sources said it was not immediately clear who carried out the attack.
Exiled Iranian prince Reza Pahlavi urged Iranians on Saturday to prepare to return to the streets as the Islamic Republic “collapses,” and called on the country’s military, police and security forces to break with the clerical establishment and join what he described as a push for a “stable and secure” transition.
In a message addressed to Iranians, Pahlavi said the time to resume protests was near, but urged people for now to stay home, remain calm and be ready to mobilize when he gives what he said would be precise instructions.
He told security forces they had sworn to protect Iran and its people, not the Islamic Republic and its leaders, warning they would “sink” with Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei and the current system if they did not switch sides.
Pahlavi also described US action against Iran as a “humanitarian intervention” aimed at the Islamic Republic’s repression apparatus rather than the Iranian nation, and appealed to US President Donald Trump to exercise maximum caution to protect civilians.

#BREAKING The Israeli operation in Iran is coordinated with the United States, Reuters reported citing an Israeli defense official.
The official said the operation had been planned for months and the launch date was decided weeks ago.
Israel’s Channel 12 reported, citing an Israeli source, that the White House has signaled to Israel nuclear talks with Iran have reached their limit and that it will be difficult to advance further diplomatically because Tehran will not agree to President Donald Trump’s demands.
I was pleased to meet with @MAStrackZi, the Chair of the European Parliament’s Defense and Security Committee to discuss the revolution in Iran. Her support for the Iranian people and her recognition of the malign role of the current regime is deeply appreciated.
We discussed the change a liberated Iran would bring to Europe:
Instead of causing massive migration though its proxy wars, a free Iran would stabilize the region and allow refugees to return home.
Instead of taking Europeans hostage and plotting terror in Europe, a free Iran would become a true partner for commerce and trade.
Instead of supplying drones to murder innocent civilians, a free Iran would be a supplier of oil and gas to Europe.
I reiterated that if Europe and European nations enact the six policies we have announced and do more than stand but act urgently in support of the brave people of Iran, that day will be soon.
Witnesses told Iran International that the body of a 50-year-old man who went missing during protests in central Iran was hard to identify because of severe head injuries, and that he was buried quickly under orders from authorities without a public funeral.
The man, identified as Nasser Movahednia, disappeared on the evening of Jan. 8 after joining protests in the town of Fooladshahr, near the central Iranian city of Isfahan, the outlet said, citing eyewitnesses.
According to the witnesses, security forces fired toward the group he was with, injuring one of his brothers, who returned home that night. Mohedenia did not return and was reported missing.
The witnesses said his family searched for him for a week without receiving any information, until they were asked on Jan. 14 to go to a morgue to identify bodies.
They said his body was difficult to recognize because of severe blows to the head.

Today I am speaking to Ali Khamenei, the leader of the regime occupying Iran.
You are an anti-Iranian criminal.
You have neither honor nor humanity.
Your hands are stained with the blood of tens of thousands of Iranians.
With the blood of children...
Of youth...
Of the innocent...
You, your regime, and all of your mercenaries,
Will be held accountable
For every drop of blood you have spilled.
Without exception.
We will not forgive.
We will not forget.
We will not retreat.
Just as Nazi criminals were tried and punished in Nuremberg,
You and your accomplices will also be tried and punished
In the Iranian nation's court.
Your end is disgrace...
Eternal shame...
No crime goes unanswered.
Your name has been recorded.
The names of all those who ordered.
Those who carried out the orders.
And all of your accomplices.
There is no escape.
You will have nowhere to hide.
The murderers of the people of Iran
will have no immunity.
And you, the great nation of Iran...
My brave children...
My grieving yet steadfast sisters and brothers:
You are not alone.
Your resistance has changed history.
You stand on the front line of freedom.
And we...
We are closer than ever to the end of this regime.
This regime has cracked.
Its power has worn down.
Its collapse has begun.
Believe in yourselves.
In your unity.
In your courage.
In your greatness.
This regime can no longer silence our awakened and risen nation.
It cannot impose fear upon Iran.
This regime fears you and your power.
We will not allow our grief to turn into despair.
My compatriots,
The grief of losing Iran’s finest children is heavy.
But we will transform this grief into conscious rage...
And an unbreakable will...
Against Khamenei...
And all his domestic and foreign agents.
Be ready.
The moment to return to the streets will come.
Broader.
More powerful.
More determined than ever.
For the liberation of Tehran.
For the reclaiming of Iran.
The continuation of this struggle until final victory
Is not merely a national duty,
But a covenant with those who gave their lives on the path of freedom
With their dear, precious blood.
Their names will not be forgotten.
Not in history.
Not in our national memory.
Not in our hearts.
That day is not far...
The day we celebrate together the reclaiming of Iran,
And say with pride:
We stood.
We fought.
And we prevailed.
Long live Iran!
Exiled Prince Reza Pahlavi on Friday urged Iranians to “take over” the streets of Tehran and other major cities with simultaneous mass gatherings and road blockades, saying such a show of force is “necessary” to hasten the fall of the Islamic Republic.
“In order to overcome the regime’s repression, there is one path before us: the simultaneous and massive presence of people across the city, and at the same time, creating traffic jams on key routes and main roads,” Pahlavi posted on X on Friday.
“The solution is to go, in the form of small and cohesive groups of friends and family members, to the nearest street of your residence, find each other, and then hand in hand move toward the central streets of the city,” he added. “We will take back and rebuild Iran together.”
🚨New from Iran 🚨
In a remarkable act of defiance against Ali Khamenei and the Islamic regime, two uniformed soldiers in the Iranian army have raised the pre-revolutionary Lion and Sun flag in the middle of one of Tehran's major metro stations.
Iranians are once again risking their lives to defy the regime.
Slogans seen in this video:
-Long Live the King!
-Happy Mehregan Festival!
-Khamenei knows he will soon fall!
-Break your silence compatriot, while you still can!
