@geoffromurray73@capjack2000@AmericanGaming No they have a combined 60k worth of losses. They'd be able to deduct 90% of that 60k(54k) from her 40k in w2gs. Since 54k is bigger than the 40k they'd be able to claim 40k in losses and net them to $0 of income. The bill doesn't screw over losing recs. It cripples winning pros.
@Auterhaus I remember goldfishing a friend's pokemon deck back in like 2019-2020 and being like wtf is this shit, you guys are just out here playing ancestral, twister, and 7 copies of DT.
@cuntycakes123 538s sim outcome just makes no sense. The polls they show on their own site show Trump leading in all of the 6~ battleground states that decide the election, but then they are like "we ran the sim a 1000 times and Joe's the favorite"
@bparispoker@NateSilver538 The most obvious conclusion is that the people pushing for Biden mail in votes weren't pushing for senate votes also (meaning they were idiots) so they ended up with a bunch of ballots with Biden and nothing else on it.
@bparispoker@NateSilver538 The most telling that something was strange was georgia. Trump and Perdue received almost identical # of votes. Meanwhile Biden received 100k more than Ossoff. Why did 100k people vote for Biden then just decided not to vote in the Senate race that was highly contested?
@bparispoker@NateSilver538 The results from that election are going to look like nonsense compared to a normal one just because of the crazy amounts of mail in votes. It's hard to analyze anything else i assume when that changed everything.
