Calls mount for cancellation of Podcast and Chill after MacG’s vulgar remarks about Minnie Dlamini

Podcast and Chill host MacGyver “MacG” Mukwevho is again at the center of controversy after making derogatory comments about Minnie Dlamini in a late-April 2025 episode.

Discussing her breakup with Dr Brian Monaisa, MacG speculated about Dlamini’s personal hygiene, saying, “Maybe her coochie smells or something… especially with these hot girls.” The comments sparked widespread outrage, with many on social media labeling them misogynistic and disrespectful.

Broadcaster Moja Love condemned the remarks as offensive, while ANC MP Khusela Diko called for tighter regulation of podcasts. Public figures like Penny Lebyane and Dr Monaisa also slammed MacG and co-host Sol Phenduka for perpetuating toxic narratives about women. Dlamini responded indirectly via TikTok and X, asserting her independence and dismissing attempts to define her by relationships.

The backlash revived long-standing criticisms of MacG’s podcast, which has faced similar outrage for past comments about Amanda du Pont, Nkosazana Daughter, and others. While calls to cancel the show intensify, MacG remains unapologetic, instead promoting his book Uncancelable on X.
