It was an honor and distinct pleasure to join Kwale County leadership in raising funds for the operations of Division I and II football teams, at the request of the FKF Kwale Chairman.
Local football is a powerful tool for promoting social cohesion, physical and mental health, and personal development. By engaging youth, it fosters a sense of belonging and pride, nurtures talent for our national teams, and creates employment opportunities.
The fundraiser was held at Denmak FC grounds in Maganyankulo, Matuga Constituency, Kwale County.
Those present included Msambweni MP Faisal Badir, Kwale Women Rep Fatuma Masito, KPA Chairman Benjamin Tayari, BMA Chairman Eng. Lungasi, and 13 Members of the Kwale County Assembly.
I was accompanied by Mombasa County leaders, including H.E. Abdulswamad Shariff, Governor of Mombasa, and Hon. Mohammed Soud Machele, MP for Mvita Constituency.
I had the pleasure of hosting H.E. Simon Kachapin, Governor of West Pokot County, along with MPs Hon. Samuel Moroto (Kapenguria) and Hon. Peter Lochakapong (Sigor) for a courtesy call at my office today.
Our discussion highlighted the county's remarkable, largely untapped mineral resources. We focused on key opportunities to harness this geological wealth through sustainable extraction practices that empower local communities and boost Kenya's national economy.
In the blessed spirit of the Holy Month of Ramadhan, I joined Nakuru Governor H.E. @susankihika and the First Gentleman Sam Mburu for a warm and gracious Iftar dinner that brought together Muslim and political leaders in a moment of reflection, unity and gratitude.
I sincerely appreciate their thoughtful hospitality and the opportunity to break the fast together as we shared prayers, fellowship and conversations on strengthening harmony and cooperation among our communities.
The gathering was also graced by Nakuru Muslim leaders and political leaders including MPs Hon. David Gikaria, Hon. Irene Njoki, Hon. Samuel Arama, and UDA Secretary General Hon. @HassanOmarH.
Inna lillahi wa inna ilayhi rajiun.
With grief and deep sorrow, I extend my heartfelt condolences to the family, relatives, friends and the entire creative fraternity following the passing of renowned Mombasa-based creative Basheikh Abdallah Basheikh, fondly known as Abdallah Moi.
The talented creative had the gift to mirror prominent Kenyan leaders with wit and humor, turning ordinary moments into fountains of laughter and joy. Through his craft, he reminded us that laughter too is a form of therapy that eases burdens and unites hearts across divides.
His voice, presence and humour will be deeply missed but his legacy lives on in the smiles he inspired and the memories he leaves behind. As Islam teaches us, this world is but a temporary abode and every soul shall taste the return to its Creator at an appointed time.
I pray that Allah (SWT) envelops him in His boundless mercy, forgives his shortcomings and grants him a noble place among the righteous.
May Allah (SWT) also grant patience and strength to his family during this immensely difficult period.
Amin.

I attended the 4th African Natural Resources and Energy Investment Summit (AFNIS), at the invitation of Hon. Dr. Oladele Alake, Minister of Solid minerals of Nigeria.
This summit being held in Abuja, is themed "Harnessing local content for sustainable development". I used the opportunity to rally African countries and stakeholders to redefine critical minerals, close infrastructure gaps, and create wealth for the citizenry through value addition of our mineral resources.
Later I held bilateral discussions with Dr. Alake where we committed to jointly advance local content initiatives in our mining sector.
