If you can help/share I will make it count, and share the journey.

Glad to see my aerial images of Steart still being used to show what can be done, when people come together around a vision, to recreate wetlands. This birds-eye view photo was one of a series taken in response to MP Ian Liddell-Grainger's uninformed 'fuckwittery'.
The vast Steart Marshes restoration at Bridgwater, Somerset, is an extraordinary success story, working with rather than against nature to protect communities from flooding. In fact this is among the most ambitious, largest and most successful natural flood protection projects in the world. Nature-friendly farming continues here in this beautiful waterscape. Guess how many times local MP Ian Liddell-Grainger has visited the project, which he describes as ‘Disney for Ducks’? You guessed it. Zero. This is the kind of fuckwittery which surrounds pretty much each and every project of this kind, wherever you go. (Incidentally, you can be sure Liddell-Grainger would be delighted if it were a heavily subsidised ‘Disney for Sheep’) We just need better politicians across the parties.
Be a good neighbour to nature! 🐸🦋🦔
Mini-wetlands come in all shapes and sizes, but they all make a BIG difference to local wildlife.

Holy cow. Hooded Vulture ringed at Jbel Moussa in April (Morocco) seen on a Red Deer carcass in a river in N Spain in July. An immature bird, first seen among Egyptian Vultures in Morocco, no evidence of captive origin. Most convincing case of a wild bird reaching Europe yet?
