A rare, tiny freshwater species is making a comeback in Lincolnshire.
Thanks to #SpeciesRecoveryProgramme funding, the @LincChalkStream project is using eDNA tests and surveys to find the crystal moss animal and support its survival. https://t.co/x25JPTFRSa

Wonderful to see the work of Wash Wader Research Group, ringing & data gathering from 330 Oystercatchers netted this morning. Mostly Scandinavian birds, some over 20 years old. Vital information collected to monitor the state of The Wash & its globally important bird life.
There's a conservation thread running through our annual report, highlighting species showing potential gains. It also shows change that comes from landscape-scale nature recovery: big projects that allow nature to do the work, as we heard at last month's Conference in Wimborne.
@GeoffUpton3@DorsetBirdClub Decent vantage point certainly helps! But mosaics of interconnected wildlife-rich habitats here is key. Pleased to speak at #COP16 event on UK support for the excellent Legacy Landscapes Fund, that supports 30X30 globally through long-term funding for large-scale projects in the global South. Very positive to hear of the focus on indigenous communities in achieving quality outcomes
