NEW: President Trump announces NASA is working on a nuclear-powered interplanetary spacecraft set to launch on a mission to Mars in 2028.
"This ship will be among the first of what will ultimately be a massive American Star fleet, making space travel almost as common as ocean travel today."
Chris "Hanks" Sembroski @ChrisSembroski and Rosana "Zen" Sotile @SacredSpaceZen touch down in Izmir for a look inside Space Camp Turkiye, @Uzay_Kampi Türkiye.
As a premier global facility, this space camp is actively shaping the next generation of explorers.

Introducing Starbase, Louisiana – a high-cadence launch site that will enable Starship to open a pathway to the stars for humanity.
Thank you to @LAGovJeffLandry and the great people of Louisiana for all of their support as we work together on this audacious project → https://t.co/zGKVOGSxfW
Starbase Louisiana will ultimately have over a dozen launch towers, enabling more than 30 Starship flights per day and making it the biggest launch site on Earth!
SpaceX makes sci-fi real.
URGENT! We have had 2 participants drop from Class 5 due to work schedule changes, which means we have 2 open slots!
Class 5 will be held on September 26th & 27th in Houston, TX near the Johnson Space Center and Space Center Houston. The class includes a tour of Space Center Houston and JSC.
The 2-day class costs $1000* (*Does not include hotel, airfare or meals). I24 will be of assistance getting you around Houston from airports to hotels to training facility, etc
Please contact Titan or Scout if you have questions.

As a reminder, The Inspired 24 Spaceflight Training is a 2-day class…
Day 1 of the class will involve spacesuit familiarization and practical experience. You will “Don” a suit with the help of your team and test your skills at moving, working and completing tasks in a confined environment.
Day 2 of the class will be all about water egress training. You will learn how to safely egress a parachute harness after entering the water, simulating an emergency egress from your vehicle. Then you and your team will work together in the water while wearing survival suits and ingress your life raft. A definite team building experience.
By the end of the course, participants will have had a thorough introduction to spacesuit operational protocols and spacecraft egress. Participants who successfully complete the I24 Spaceflight Training Course will receive a non-credit certificate of completion from The inspired 24. The certificate serves as evidence that the participant has completed all requirements for this professional development course.

I24 made an appearance at H2M2 2026 (Humans to Moon & Mars) Summit put on by @ExploreMars at @RiceUniversity in Houston, TX on July 22nd and 23rd. 🚀
We had a table where we promoted I24 and showed off our Spaceflight Training Program, past and future. 🧑🚀
Meet a ton of amazing folks and talked space all day. Was amazed by the science behind hibernation research that @spacebiostasis is doing. (Amaze!)
I24 members Mario “Leo Prime” Espinosa, Nevin "Phronesis" Shah were present to support and assist I24 President Andrew “Titan” Parris with operations. We had visit from I24 members Jenni “Stargazer” Hesterman and Erika “Spectra” Rivera. 👨🚀
Spectra even tried her hand at an EVA task with our training board. 👩🚀
Many thanks to Chris Carberry and @ExploreMars for their hospitality and support. Looking forward to next year’s event. 🌎🌍🌏

On July 20, 1969, Neil Armstrong, Buzz Aldrin, and Michael Collins, the crew of Apollo 11, showed the world that America can undertake and achieve the near-impossible. The pioneers and heroes of that era inspired generations of astronauts, pilots, explorers, engineers, scientists, and technicians, many of whom now show up to work each day at @NASA and across the most technologically advanced aerospace industry on Earth.
President Reagan called for our return to the Moon, but @POTUS gave us Artemis, the National Space Policy, and the resources in the Working Family Tax Cut Act. Now the best and brightest across YOUR space agency, alongside industry and our international partners, will deliver.
America is going back. We will fulfill Gene Cernan's immortal words from Apollo 17: "God willing, as we shall return, with peace and hope for all mankind." Artemis III is up next in 2027. Artemis IV lands in 2028. The Moon Base project is already underway...and America will never give up the Moon again.
I get to spend part of my day, on the 57th anniversary of the Apollo 11 Moon landing, with this American hero.
Apollo 11 CAPCOM. Apollo 16 moonwalker. NASA astronaut. Brigadier General Charlie Duke.
No matter where we go from here, we will never do it with more courage, humility, and determination than the Apollo generation did.
I24 is very pleased to announce that our Spaceflight Training Class #5 is booked full and moving towards our September 26th & 27th class dates. 📅
Class #5 consists of I24 members Ariane "Leto” Fikki, Roger Lascorz, Kendra “Lady Base” Base, Spencer “Goldielocks” Bramwell, Victoria “Cliffhanger” DeFazio , and Alex “Echo” Aun. 🧑🚀👨🚀👩🚀
We are now planning Class #6 for January 2027, so if you’d like to sign up for that class or have any questions, please email [email protected] 📩

Joe Engle—age 32—flew the X-15 OTD in 1965 to an altitude of more than 50 miles, qualifying for astronaut wings under the USAF definition.
He was selected to become a NASA astronaut the following year and was the only person to have flown both the X-15 and the Space Shuttle.

Wil "Space Pirate" Schweitzer 🚀
Some people fall in love with space. Space Pirate fell in love with the Space Shuttle.
From sketching spacecraft and future habitats as a child to moderating one of the world's largest online space communities, his passion for exploration has never faded. Inspired by a 60-page NASA guide gifted by his father at age 10, Space Pirate set his sights on becoming part of humanity's journey beyond Earth.
Today, he combines research, storytelling, and content creation to help others better understand space exploration. As a moderator for the 815,000-member SpaceX Facebook community, he works to inspire curiosity, share knowledge, and bring people together through a shared passion for the cosmos.
Some of his most unforgettable moments include witnessing Falcon Heavy STP-2 and Inspiration4 launches in person—experiences that transformed rockets from something watched on a screen into something felt deep within.
For Space Pirate, the most meaningful achievement isn't a launch or an event—it's hearing that his work helped someone discover a new appreciation for space.
Looking ahead, he hopes to take his next giant leap: experiencing weightlessness aboard a Zero-G flight and moving from documenting space exploration to actively participating in it.
Please join us in celebrating our June Spotlight Member, Wil "Space Pirate" Schweitzer! 🌎✨🚀
