Heartbreaking 💔: Indian Bank Chief Manager in Head Office, Chennai, Sh Kanishq Vajpayee committed su!cide today by jumping off the fourth floor of our Bank’s Head Office Building. RIP 🕯️
If even 50,000 out of 8 lakh bankers regularly start posting on X and making videos exposing the toxic culture in banks,
and start exposing the double standards of unions,
then definitely the government, management, and toxic unions can be pushed on the backfoot.
Nothing much is expected from today's meeting of ufbu leaders and IBA representatives.
And the 5 days banking week which we all wanted is no longer on the table now alternative proposals will be discussed.
This round of battle goes in DFS favour .
Make the MoU public.Let facts speak.
We hv every right to know whether the commitment was genuine, what prevented its implementation, and whether there was a bona fide intention to honour it.
Transparency will end speculation. Publish the MoU. @aiboc_in@UFBUIndia@rupamsmail
Today, IBA and the unions signed a fresh understanding confirming that the previous understanding was misunderstood. Both sides now understand the misunderstanding and have agreed to meet again to understand what they actually understood.

I believe 5-Day Banking will come only through a strong Gen-Z movement.
Let’s take this movement to every bank, every branch and every banker.
Add your colleagues, friends and fellow bankers here on X.
Let’s build one united voice for 5-Day Banking.

Her (Neha Gupta) husband is in defence so at present no family member is there and children are with neighbours.
This black Sunday ruined a beautiful family forever.

Give credit where it is due .
I am in banking industry since 1985 and I never seen 3 days strike happening across all public sector banks .
This is unprecedented and for this UFBU leadership deserve our appreciation.
When the world stayed home, bankers still showed up.
They served customers, supported essential services, processed relief measures and kept the financial system moving — while carrying the same fear and uncertainty for their own families.
They didn’t ask for applause.
They simply did their duty.
Remember the bankers who stood with the nation when the nation needed them most.

The moment I saw that PNB 24*7 add comparing banker with security forces and doctors I called concerned GM and advised him to stop this type of misleading tweets from a government owned bank official handles .
Because promoting this 24*7 work schedule is illegal under indian law where nobody can be forced to work beyond 8 hours a day without overtime and with overtime limit is 12 hours in new labour codes .
Long queues. Long hours. Millions served. Families waited.
During Demonetisation 2016, bank employees stood on the frontlines and kept the nation moving—working beyond limits, putting duty before family.
A decade later, the demand is simple: 5-Day Banking.

Dirty game of @DFS_India is live.
DFS Secretary misbehaved with SBI Chairman during review meeting. Govt rebuked SBI Chairman for not taking tough action against association.

Dear Comrades,
The fight for Five-Day Banking must not be seen merely as a struggle for implementation of an agreement that has remained pending for more than 30 months. This is a fight for our existence, our dignity, our families and our fundamental right to a humane working life.
Public Sector Bank employees serve far more customers than our private-sector counterparts. Even with private banks accounting for a substantial share of the banking market, it is overwhelmingly the Public Sector Banks and their employees who carry the burden of Government-sponsored schemes, financial inclusion, social-sector banking and the last-mile delivery of public policy.
We work for institutions owned by the people and for a Government that expects us to reach every citizen. We have never shied away from that responsibility. But those who expect us to serve the nation must also recognise one simple truth:
We are not robots. We are not machines. We are not AI tools. We are human beings.
We have families waiting for us, children who need our time, parents who need our care, and lives beyond targets, reviews, late-night meetings and relentless workplace pressure.
We are not asking for privilege. We are asking for dignity, balance and justice.
The growing culture of excessive working hours, constant pressure and an increasingly toxic work environment cannot become the new normal. Five-Day Banking is one important step towards restoring humanity to our workplaces.
Save the banker. Save the banking family. Respect the commitment already made.
Five-Day Banking is not a luxury.
It is not an unreasonable demand.
It is a just demand whose time has come.
Let us stand together, for ourselves, for our families and for the generations of bankers who will come after us.
Five-Day Banking is For Dignity. For Family. For a Humane Workplace.
March ahead with courage and unity for the three-day strike from 28th to 30th September and make it a resounding success. No fear, no threat and no intimidation can weaken our collective resolve. Officers and employees stand together , we are all strikers in this historic struggle.

Yesterday and today I visited our HO and requested available CGM and GM to support our strike and make it successful.
One CGM asked me what sort of participation you expect I said 95 pc of officers up to scale 3 will be on strike .he said no it will not be so high .I said I could have been 80 pc but DFS FIR threat has made it 95 pc .
DFS is helping us a lot in making our strike a resounding success in terms of participation.
