Supplier factories of auto brands misrepresenting facts about work accidents make it impossible for workers like Mahesh to access post-accident insurance and benefits. Please read @sandsach1's post on this issue.

Research in Odisha by CMID & @GramVikasIN shows climate change negatively impacts 80% of agri households, driving migration to unsafe urban jobs. Collaborative efforts are needed to improve their occupational safety and health in urban centres.
#SafeDay2024

What do you think of the responsibility of the owners?
And of their buyers - including one of the largest auto brands in the country (read the blog for name) - who should have been conducting safety audits?

@HeroMotoCorp, as reported by @punjabkesari, is it true that the Life Long factory supplies parts to
@HeroMotoCorp. If yes, why is the supplier's irresponsibility as stated by the worker's family member here okay?
VIDEO | Rewari boiler blast: “He was working on a contract at the factory. A blast took place while he was working there with the sound reaching as far as the next village. Later we found our relative at the hospital with severe burn injuries,” says a family member of one of the victims.
VIDEO | Here’s what Civil Surgeon Dr Surender Yadav said after a boiler blast in Haryana’s Rewari.
“We received information about a boiler blast at a factory and immediately sent an ambulance to the site. 23 patients are admitted to our hospital and they are in stable condition. One patient was seriously injured, so he was referred to a hospital in Rohtak.”
40+ workers injured in a boiler blast at a Dharuhera factory, and @punjabkesari has reported that the Life Long factory supplies parts to @HeroMotoCorp. If true, is this a case of lack of due diligence on #safety in your supply chain, @HeroMotoCorp?

While extending benefits to the gig sector, @esichq should ensure that the quality of the already sub-par services to already under-served 3.5 Cr workers & their families should not deteriorate further - SII CEO, @sandsach1 to @ShivaRajora7 from @bsindia.
