Lots of odd people on here claiming London is finished but in the space of an hour today I saw 20 grown adults riding around on fake broomsticks playing competitive Quidditch followed by Ryan Gosling, Eva Mendes and their kids walking down my local high street.

Today would have been my dad’s 74th birthday.

This season carries gravity. Father’s Day, his birthday, and the anniversary of his passing all fall within 60 days.

For me, grief has no straight path. It revisits, reshapes, and rises when I least expect it.

But alongside it lives a legacy built on generosity and kindness.

He made people feel seen. Gave permission to feel deeply and to laugh through pain. That mission continues.

To those carrying loss right now: you’re not alone.

As mayor of London I will ban all external (political and non political) motivated protests that do not have a direct impact on our country, our people or capital. I repeat… Any motivated protests with an external narrative will be banned with immediate effect!

Things like tax rises. Corp tax went up 5% over night (from 20-25%) and no one battered an eye lid. Happy Thursday you lovely lot. I’ve just been having a chat with my wife about our finances. And she has told me how expensive it is to have our children in nursery, I honestly didn’t realise. It feels like in this country, you’re punished for trying to do better in life. For working hard. For wanting the best for your kids. That’s not how it should be. And listen, I say this with nothing but respect. I’ve got all the time in the world for people on benefits or going through tough times. Everyone deserves support. But working families deserve it too. People trying their best shouldn’t be made to feel like they’re drowning just because they want to give their kids a good start. I have got so many mates in their late 20s and 30s who are desperate to have kids and start a family but they simply can’t afford it. That’s heartbreaking. We should be encouraging people to start families, not making it feel like an impossible dream. Children are the future of this country, and we should be investing in them, in their care, their education, their wellbeing. They are the future after all! I care about people from all backgrounds. I don’t care where you’re from, what you earn, or what your story is. But one thing is for certain, everyone should have the chance to raise a family without being crushed by the cost of it. There’s so much money wasted in this country on stuff that doesn’t matter. Let’s put it where it really counts. Let’s back families. Let’s back children. Let’s build a future where having a family isn’t a luxury, it’s something we all feel proud and supported to do. Because the gift of having a family is priceless. Bosh❤️
