A proud moment for wildlife conservation !

Hon’ble President of India, Smt. Droupadi Murmu, visited Project Cheetah site at Kuno National Park, Madhya Pradesh, on 21-22 June 2026 and was briefed on the progress made under Project Cheetah-a Government of India's pioneering transcontinental initiative for the reintroduction of cheetahs in the wild and spearheaded by National Tiger Conservation Authority with the active management on field by the Madhya Pradesh Forest Department.

Shri Sanjay Kumar, Member Secretary, National Tiger Conservation Authority was also present during the visit, where the Hon’ble President was apprised of the ongoing conservation and monitoring efforts under Project Cheetah.

Recognized by the Guinness World Records as the world's largest camera trap wildlife survey, AITE has transformed wildlife monitoring in India. The information generated through this exercise plays a vital role in guiding conservation planning, strengthening management interventions, and addressing emerging challenges across India's tiger landscapes.

Chola Copper Plates dating back to the 11th Century will be repatriated to India from the Netherlands. Took part in the ceremony for the same in the presence of Prime Minister Rob Jetten.

The Chola Copper Plates are a set of 21 large plates and 3 small plates and largely contain texts in Tamil, one of the most beautiful languages of the world. They relate to the great Rajendra Chola I formalising an oral commitment made by his father, King Rajaraja I. They also showcase the greatness of the Cholas. We in India are immensely proud of the Cholas, their culture and their maritime prowess.

I thank the Government of the Netherlands and Leiden University in particular, where the Copper Plates were kept since the mid-19th century.

ಉಳಿಕೆ ಮೂಲ ವೃಂದದ ಗ್ರೂಪ್- ಬಿ ಗೆ ಸೇರಿದ ಒಟ್ಟು 632 ಹುದ್ದೆಗಳಿಗೆ (81 ಕೃಷಿ ಅಧಿಕಾರಿ ಹಾಗೂ 551 ಸಹಾಯಕ ಕೃಷಿ ಅಧಿಕಾರಿ) ಜೂನ್ 7ರಂದು ಹಾಗೂ ಕಲ್ಯಾಣ ಕರ್ನಾಟಕ ವೃಂದದ ಒಟ್ಟು 258 ಹುದ್ದೆಗಳಿಗೆ (40 ಕೃಷಿ ಅಧಿಕಾರಿ ಹಾಗೂ 218 ಸಹಾಯಕ ಕೃಷಿ ಅಧಿಕಾರಿ) ಜೂನ್ 14ರಂದು ಲಿಖಿತ ಪರೀಕ್ಷೆ ಇರುತ್ತದೆ. ಎರಡೂ ವೃಂದದವರಿಗೆ ಕನ್ನಡ ಪರೀಕ್ಷೆ ಜೂನ್ 6ರಂದು ನಡೆಯಲಿದೆ.
