One family filed 21 cases under the SC/ST Act, 14 against a single family, forcing them to face 42 court hearings every month.

A dog used to follow pilgrims to a Hindu religious site in Sri Lanka, and videos of it were shared warmly in Sri Lankan Hindu circles.

In late June, offended by the videos, a Muslim man went to the pilgrimage site, located the dog, kicked it, and uploaded the video, sparking outrage. During one such argument, a Sri Lankan Muslim wrote a derogatory post against the Hindu deity.

Anojan Sivarasa, a Sri Lankan Hindu working as a laborer in Saudi Arabia, didn't like the comment and responded with a reply that was allegedly derogatory to the Prophet.

Anojan's well-wisher immediately warned him. He took down the comment and issued a video apology within five minutes in which he said he was responding to an insult to his faith. However, it was too late. Anojan's fellow Sri Lankan Muslims had already taken a screenshot and emailed it to his employer in Saudi Arabia. His employer promptly reported it to the authorities, who arrested Anojan and put him on trial. He has been sentenced to death.

Saudi Arabia rarely reverses a decision once it has made one, but there should be global outrage over this. Blasphemy laws or whatever, the man was only responding to an insult to his faith, deleted the comment, and issued an apology within minutes, yet he will still have to pay with his life while those who provoked him are rejoicing in Sri Lanka. This is unacceptable. Anyone calling themselves a free speech supporter and not opposing this is a hypocrite of the highest order.

The Matthew VanDyke (American mercenary with Sons Of Liberty International) module (which included Ukrainian mercenaries) travelled illegally into India's North East. Whence in Mizoram the module crossed the border into Myanmar. The NIA says they proceeded to Camp Victoria a base for Shin insurgents that have ties to India based insurgent groups. The NIA claimed VanDyke and team trained the insurgents and provided them military grade drones. They crossed back into India and were apprehended before they decamped. Now, months later they get a court pass to exit India without consequence.

The upcoming Nagaland movie Angh shows how demographic change took place through the influence of Christian missionaries.

The story is set in the 1960s and follows Anghva, a Konyak tribal chief, whose son comes under the influence of Christian missionaries and becomes attracted to Christianity and the new faith, leaving behind his tribal culture. This leads to conflicts within Anghva’s family.

अब जरा इस व्यवस्था पर सवाल पूछिए...

परीक्षा में नकल रोकना अपराध है या जाति देखकर नकल रोकनी चाहिए?

क्या IIT में परीक्षा के नियम भी अब जाति देखकर लागू होंगे ?

मोबाइल लेकर परीक्षा में बैठना—नियमों का उल्लंघन
AI पर प्रश्नपत्र डालकर जवाब लेना—गंभीर सवाल
प्रोफेसर का पकड़ना—उसका काम

लेकिन छात्र की मौत के बाद अगर हर सवाल का जवाब SC/ST Act में खोजा जाएगा, तो कल शायद परीक्षा में नकल पकड़ने से पहले invigilator को यह पूछना पड़े “पहले जाति बता दीजिए, फिर नकल रोकूं”

जातिगत भेदभाव के आरोपों की निष्पक्ष जांच होनी चाहिए, लेकिन जांच से पहले किसी को दोषी घोषित करना भी न्याय नहीं है।

नकल रोकने वाला शिक्षक अपराधी और नकल करने वाला पीड़ित—क्या यही नया अकादमिक मॉडल है?

उत्तरप्रदेश के ललितपुर का सिलावन गांव। शाम का वक्त। करीब 44-45 साल का एक शख्स लंगड़ाते हुए चला जा रहा था। वो इधर-उधर देख रहा था, जैसे किसी को पहचानने को कोशिश कर रहा हो।

तभी उसे साइकिल से आता हुआ एक शख्स दिखा। उसने उसे रोककर कहा- ‘मेरा नाम विष्णु तिवारी है। क्या मुझे जानते हैं? मेरे घर का पता बता दो।’ उस शख्स ने हैरानी भरी नजरों से देखा और बोला- ‘भइया पागल हो क्या, तुम्हारा घर है और, मुझसे पूछ रहे हो।’

विष्णु ने एक के बाद एक, कई लोगों से अपने घर का पता पूछा, लेकिन सभी ने उन्हें पागल कहा। अब तक अंधेरा हो गया था। विष्णु थककर एक पेड़ के नीचे बैठ गए। तभी एक और शख्स वहां से गुजरा और विष्णु को देखते ही ठिठक गया। बोला- तुम विष्णु तिवारी हो न? पहचाना मुझे? तुम्हारा दोस्त सुरेश।

विष्णु फौरन बोल पड़े- ‘मेरे भाई तुमने तो मुझे पहचान लिया’ दोस्त बोला-'तुम तो जेल में थे ना।’ विष्णु ने जवाब दिया- ‘झूठा मुकदमा था। 20 साल बाद हाईकोर्ट ने रिहा कर दिया। मेरे घर का पता तुम्हें याद हो तो घर पहुंचा दो।’ दोस्त ने कहा- ‘तुम्हारा घर तो रहने लायक बचा नहीं, चलकर देख लो।’

विष्णु, दोस्त के साथ अपने घर की ओर चल दिए। कुछ कदम चलने के बाद बोले- ‘घर में तो मेरी राह देखने वाला कोई जिंदा ही नहीं बचा।’ दोस्त बोला- ‘चाचा जिंदा हैं। उन्हीं के घर चले जाना।’

कुछ ही देर में विष्णु अपने घर पहुंचे। दोस्त ने मोबाइल का टॉर्च जलाया तो देखा टूटे दरवाजे में जंग लगा ताला लटक रहा था। दीवारें भी गिर चुकी थीं। विष्णु ने पास ही पड़ा हुआ एक पत्थर उठाया और ताला तोड़ दिया।

अंदर जाकर देखा तो कचरे का ढेर लगा था। उसी ढेर में मां-पिताजी के वोटर आईडी मिले। कहीं दीवार गिर गई, तो कहीं मोटी-मोटी दरारें। विष्णु जमीन पर बैठकर फूट-फूटकर रोने लगे। दोस्त ने उन्हें संभाला और चाचा के घर ले गए।

चाचा को देखते ही विष्णु बोले-‘सब खत्म हो गया चाचा। न घर बचा, न मां-बाप।’ चाचा ने पूछा जेल से कैसे छूटे। विष्णु बोले- ‘रेप का केस भी झूठा था और SC-ST का मुकदमा भी। इलाहाबाद हाईकोर्ट ने बाइज्जत बरी कर दिया।'
