Folarin Balogun’s Nigerian parents were living in London when they took a trip to New York in the summer of 2001.

When it was time to fly home, airline staff refused to let his mom board the flight because she was heavily pregnant.

3 days later, on July 3rd 2001: Balogun was born in Brooklyn, New York.
