On one hand, Republican officials call themselves "warfighters."
On the other, they become whiny crybabies at the thought of setting foot in DC streets and New York City subways that literal schoolchildren navigate every day without incident.
Real macho stuff.
It just truly hit me that right now, we're waiting for a jury to decide if an ex-president is guilty of unlawfully influencing the election he won in 2016 - a case his political opponent's own Justice Department declined to prosecute.
We're also waiting for the Supreme Court majority he created to decide if he's immune from prosecution for trying to overturn the election he lost in 2020.
This candidate is currently leading the race for president in 2024.
Things have been better!
"I know that hate will only win if people like me stand by and let it happen."
Please watch this incredible speech from Michigan State Senator @MalloryMcMorrow, who is not standing by.
@US3ns3@usairforce @UnderSecAF @DeptofDefense @SpaceForceDoD Technically, and legally, the proper pronoun is "she." That according to DEERS (Defense Enrollment Eligibility Reporting System). Just because you don't like it, doesn't mean that it isn't reality.
On May 10, 2012 I gave Matthew Stafford (who was in a financial literacy event) a tour of the West Wing. I told him @BarackObama was not in WH. He said “No worries. There’s only one way an NFL QB should ever get to come to WH and meet the President.” His moment has come.
