This is 9 minutes long, but it’s worth the watch.
Project 2025’s authors — in their own words — telling undercover reporters that Trump is fully on board with their agenda.
Since Democrats passed the Inflation Reduction Act, we’ve taken major strides to hold wealthy tax cheats accountable.
Already, $1 billion in past-due taxes has been collected from the ultra-wealthy.
Just read an article that pissed me off, so I wanted to share a few important points about the capability of the United States military.
1. No, we aren’t “running out of bombs” - any article that you’ve ever read about how we are critically low on weapons is bullshit. Full stop.
The military has force structure requirements that mandates keeping on hand everything needed to meet national security objectives. There are countless breathless articles out there about how we are “approaching the minimum of ___ needed for war plans and training”
…what they don’t tell you is that our military is specifically designed to fight in multiple theaters at a time, and the mandatory minimums reflect that. Seriously, we have so much shit stockpiled that our stockpiles have stockpiles.
2. No, the military isn’t weaker than ever.
If you somehow believe that Obama decimated the military — even though he approved one of the largest modernization programs in history — and that Trump rebuilt it, only to have it destroyed again by Biden… you’re an idiot sandwich. A moldy one.
You’ve never seen close to the full might of the US military, and hopefully you’ll never have to.
3. Finally, I am so -SO- sick of the supposed pro-military GOP acting like our soldiers, sailors, and airmen are anything but up to the task. Denigrating our armed forces in order to gain votes is disgraceful. I would tell you to do better, but I know you can’t.
The Medal of Honor is so revered that it's the only decoration specially emblazoned on headstones in Arlington National Cemetery.
The Medal of Honor is so revered that when an Active Duty recipient wears it in uniform, it is customary, though not technically required, for all officers, no matter their seniority, to initiate a salute.
If a buck sergeant is in uniform and wearing their Medal of Honor, the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff will more than likely salute first.
The Medal of Honor is so revered that the children of recipients are guaranteed a nomination to any of the Service Academies. They still must compete for final admission, but the incredibly difficult nomination process is entirely waived for their application.
The Medal of Honor is so revered that recipients and their dependents are entitled to special military ID cards for particular privileges at commissaries and priority on military air travel.
The Medal of Honor is so revered that every state offers some degree of special license plate for drivers who are recipients.
The Medal of Honor is so revered that recipients receive an automatic special pension from the VA that's tacked on to any other pensions, retired or medical, they may have. Adjusted for cost-of-living regularly, it's currently $1671.16 per month.
The Medal of Honor is so revered that all living recipients are entitled to an invitation to every presidential inauguration and inaugural ball.
The Medal of Honor is so revered that a fragile, cowardly, insecure, and deeply narcissistic piece of shit like Donald Trump can't stand knowing he'll never receive a similar universal respect.
Food company profit increases since inflation peaked:
Cheesecake Factory +471%
Cal-Maine +268%
Jack In The Box +213%
Chipotle +110%
Starbucks +47%
Sysco +43%
How much did they collectively spend on stock buybacks? Over $10 billion.
They used inflation as cover to get rich.
Having your name mispronounced isn’t anything new to minorities. For a lot of us, we’ve spent our entire lives having to correct folks. I like to give them the benefit of the doubt that it’s unintentional or a mistake.
BUT when Republicans like Nancy Mace repeatedly & intentionally mispronounce @KamalaHarris’ name, it’s a nasty macro-aggression and it deserves to be called out.
Especially when Mace has the gall to bleat that she’ll “say her name any way she wants to.”
@RossKneeDeep a constitutional amendment requires ratification by 38 states. this is a tough row to hoe. e.g., the women's Equal Rights Amendment (ERA) has never been ratified; & it has been kicking around since 1972. all this one does is give women the same protection under the law as a man.
@MrsNobodyAZ @acnewsitics she is going to jail because she tried to deny other people their right to have their vote counted correctly & that is illegal.
you, casting your vote for a criminal is entirely legal. #vote
Tina Peters, MAGA, election denier who refused to certify the election. Tina is from Colorado, and for her, Donald Trump and the cult lie. She woke up today facing 22 years in federal prison after being found guilty of 7 counts of election interference a few days ago.
Tina Peters is the person of the day.
@jbrown11871 when Congress opens an investigation into private individuals it must be operating under a "valid legislative purpose." wanting to tank an election is not a valid legislative purpose. the DoJ should charge Comer w election interference & abuse of office but, you know, garland...
