@TfL Plus the UK is considering an earlier implementation of the ICE sales ban (new vehicles only). Tending in this direction is arguably low risk as it is supported by early movers in the EVs market, such as LVEC, who have announced diversification into an electric van model.

@GreenBiofuels @Grantham_IC My concern is that waiting any longer with biofuels risks pitching them (unnecessarily) against well-intentioned policies such as the ICE ban, which have become increasingly urgent precisely because we've been so ineffective at decarbonising transport thus far.

Moving the proposed ban on ICE vehicles forward to 2035 is a small step in the right direction. However, with an average scrappage age of 14 years, it will still leave polluting and #carbon intensive vehicles on the roads uncomfortably close to our #netzero target.
