@naruto9tail@TheSonOfWalkley I agree, price is irrelevant. I just want the positives of the combined company. Less market-price manipulation when Elon has over 50% voting control. We will have much less of these like 60% down moves.
@TeslaBoomerMama@lovetesla2030@cyberbulls I actually find it funny that people are bailing out right now just on feelings. I'm perfectly fine with them just moving over to $SPCX now and we dont have to worry about their vote, because they loose it lol. ๐
@RandyWKirk1 I've seen quite a few commentators who assume the district for Starbase, TX is an easy win for Democrats. Im not convinced, I think Elon is funding heavy and it should be at least deemed highly competitive, if not an easy R win.
@elonmusk@Gfilche@elonmusk When do hope to launch the first Starlink sats to orbit the moon?! I imagine you want at least a few hundred orbiting before sending humans?
@TeslaBoomerMama I do think age is a factor for those not day-trading. Those who have been in a while and are closing in on retirement might feel it more than others. I have decades of growth in front of me so I love the ability to accumulate. I dont mind all the chaos.
@RandyWKirk1 I 100% agree. Elon is full in on autonomy instead. I just think many forget in this argument that it is possible to build on the platform. Probably a lot easier, in fact. But I think most are caught up on the naming. Love your show Randy!!!
@RandyWKirk1@farzyness What I find funny about the Farzad argument is around the platform. "Everyone" was surprised when Tesla added the Model Y on the Model 3 platform. The unboxed line/"Skateboard" of the Cybercab could be used to build another vehicle, but it would not be Cybercab at that point.
Just guessing but perhaps an analogy could be that Elon owns a kitchen and is renting it out to other chefs. He may not see the details of their recipes or preparation methods but he may be able to see what equipment they used to make the food. Grill, deep fryer, etc. As well as seeing the final dish leave the kitchen. High level views could be helpful even without potentially breaching any kind of NDA. ๐ค
@Gfilche Two possibilities: Either the endgame goal is 1 company or 2. I was recently in the 2 company camp (all under Tesla and SpaceX). But I am now thinking that Elon may go all the way. Tesla to aquire Boring in the next month and then merge w/ SpaceX. Shareholder vote in April-May.
@tcm1907 @wholemars I think they will use one of the S/X lines to produce the Roadster. With volumes lower, it would make sense to move them both to one line and use the other to start fulfilling the Roadster backlog. An S/X refresh is possible, but def not while California is being stupid.
@alojoh@1stPrincipleInv Or, alternatively, they will look to phase production out of Freemont altogether over the coming years. Elon isn't that happy with California rn.
@alojoh@1stPrincipleInv I have a feeling that with the low output of S/X, they will produce the roadster on one of those lines at Freemont. It will help keep those lines with maximum ROI.
