@BrockKatey@BowenShanta@EducationLaw2 I feel like now is the time to draft up some rules regarding this since protesting is such a hot topic right now. It should be done as a proactive move instead of a reactive move later when things get out of hand or interrupt school operations.
@VirginiaAlexa62@EducationLaw2 I would say that wearing clothing in protest is okay as long as it isn't offensive or vulgar. Students still need to abide by the rules of the handbook.
@EducationLaw2@EducationLaw2 I feel the first amendment protects these rights of students to advocate at school. The Tinker v. Des Moines ruling supports protesting as long as it doesn't interfere with school operations.

@Allison80457413@EducationLaw2 There are so many resources available to parents who wish to homeschool that it doesn't seem too far off from the traditional classroom.
@katelynmoore78 @carltondria @EducationLaw2 I feel like if the proper time was put into teaching children at home, it can be equivalent to a traditional classroom setting. The reality is, as you say, many parents work, leaving all responsibility on the child. Some children aren't self-disciplined to stay on track.
@EducationLaw2@EducationLaw2 I feel like in many cases, homeschooling is not equivalent to a traditional classroom setting. However, I feel like it CAN be if the parent exhausts all available resources and devotes their time and energy into their child's education.

@DEducationlaw2 @EducationLaw2 All children indeed learn differently, and therefore deserve to receive a FAPE, no matter the severity of their disability. I can't imagine someone turning a child away for any reason.
@Teresa41908388@EducationLaw2 Exceeding our expectations is the best part of IDEA. Giving these children a chance to be something, to have a sense of accomplishment is essential.

I am in favor of the zero-reject policy. All students, regardless of disability or capability, deserve a free and public education. No student should be excluded, no matter how great the need.
