@TerryFranconia An elite starting rotation is the best weapon any team can wield in the postseason, and depending on how Nola does coming back off the IL and Luzardo’s consistency, the rotation could literally be five deep. Then there’s Painter.
@TerryFranconia Lock? No, nothing is a lock in baseball. But it’s far more likely to go deep into games and save the high-leverage bullpen arms. Less bullpenning means fresher guys deeper into the postseason instead of relievers flaming out due to exhaustion
@JonMarksMedia Losing Tait hurts, but Duran having two more years of control softens the blow. If we’d given him up for a rental I would’ve hit the roof, but this is an acceptable deal. And Duran isn’t just any bullpen arm
@mccrystal_alex He’s never spent an extended period of time in the lineup without being exposed. He’s perfect for what he does, let’s not put him in a role that won’t set him up for success
@masnjny@QasimRashid When was the last time a Republican won a city-wide election in NYC? Bloomberg was officially a republican but we all know he just did that to make his primary in 01 easier, so you really have to go back to 1996
@IamMr_das @Aceofspades256@QasimRashid If you think Curtis Sliwa is winning an election in New York City I have several bridges across the east river you may want to buy an interest in…
@StrokinSemien @BagHeadJag@D1SCHER I say the same thing about John Smoltz every time I hear him. I do play by play for soccer and sometimes the best thing you can do in a moment is to shut the fuck up
@Bonetti That line of thinking doesn’t jive with the fact that Italy routinely go deep into youth tournaments on both the UEFA and FIFA level. There’s a systemic block in calcio that prevents those players from making an impact after that point.
@flagpuller19@j_pincus@TheGoodPhight Him being that far up in the rankings in steals is miraculous considering how little he’s gotten on base. I’m certainly not about to spend assets to bring his form into the middle of a pennant race
