@GaltMD@CoffeeBlackMD@anniodarone3 To be clear, I’m in favor of a free market economy, as it still is better than anything else, I’m just saying that I anticipate the problems will be magnified in healthcare and the benefits won’t be as positive as some think.
@GaltMD@CoffeeBlackMD@anniodarone3 Many. Free markets don’t always end up benefitting everyone. It often results in less competition & concentration of wealth in a relative few. I’m not convinced it will benefit consumers in healthcare, given the entrenched system already in place.
@MustangMan_TX Guys that have pictures of cars in their profile are notorious for trying to compensate for their lack of manliness. Makes it even more evident when they call into question someone else's sexuality.
@GaltMD@CoffeeBlackMD@anniodarone3 "Free Market" sounds great, but I'm not convinced it would be better based on how "Free Market" has worked in other areas.
@CoffeeBlackMD@anniodarone3 I agree with the impasse. What would be the solution though? I currently pay almost $30K a year for 2 of us for high deductible health insurance. Last year, another > $8K OOP. The current system isn't working either.
@LookingAtYouM8@tylerblack32 LOL. Because some random user named Sunny Day says so. Like I said, you are proving his point and aren't even self aware enough to know it.
@arteesun@tylerblack32@LookingAtYouM8 No, the person making the claim that "sunscreen causes cancer" needs to provide the information upfront as to why they believe that, what the mechanism is, and then provide data to prove it. It's not incumbent upon others to disprove nonsense just because someone posts it.
@GapToothGreenie@TheDillen@ProudSocialist Not really at the Fed. Level.Historically, when the "Right" is in office, they spend more on average. The "right" is also currently the ones taking away rights that existed previously. What they say and what they do are 2 different things. Both parties suck.
@TheDillen@ProudSocialist The actual data doesn't back up the assertion that the "right = Less government". So yes, you are buying the sales pitch and ignoring the actual product.
@zach_mcmahan_@dollarsanddata The chart lists 401Ks as "not liquid". The point is that after age 59.5, it IS liquid and no different (outside of tax considerations) than any other investment.
@randomcouch1@TizzyEnt No, what the man did was take away his own ability to feed his children, because he was dumb enough to text words like that while in public. It's called personal responsibility.
@Jack_Hinson214@3D_at_Work@HumansNoContext Funny how the right likes to complain about illegals, but the vast majority of companies (Farmers, construction, food service) that hire illegals are run by people that vote Republican. Hypocrites.
@thisfitdoc@Tellit007@SamaHoole 1. You used that example as a counter to the original post, thus the analogy. And the reason it's a dumb one is a) because there is data on pedestrian deaths you can look up & b) science (physics) can define the reaction of a person getting hit by a car based size, speed, etc.
