I’m on a new path now where there have been many bumps along the road and I know I wouldn’t be as strong as I am today if it weren’t for the negative times.

Sitting on the beach today and reminiscing about the past few years…

In March 2020 I was working at the same place I had worked since August 2017. It was an incredibly rough time for all of us and like many folks I was furloughed and then laid off.

I will never know the answer as to why this all happened. I do understand that people want change and maybe that’s the answer but it really hurt me.

I am finally at peace with knowing I tried as hard as I could and am happy with the work I did.

..not allowing her to see the show. I am proud of my decision to throw her out as I was protecting the staff who I was in charge of as the theatre manager. The next day she showed up again and that higher up invited her back in and had her sit in house seats…

I’ve thrown her out of a theatre due to her threatening to get physically abusive with the staff. And later that evening I told a higher up what happened and got yelled at for..

We need to be better at recognizing these people and paying them fairly, so they aren’t constantly stressed about finances. Enough with the excuses!
