Conceptually, EFM mirrors the inference procedure in Deep Equilibrium Models (@zicokolter@shaojieb) where a neural network is iterated to convergence at test time to find a fixed point.
Two paths, one equilibrium. ⚖️
I just read the Equilibrium Matching (EqM) paper; it’s excellent and insightful work!
Interestingly, we recently published a related method called Adaptive Equilibrium Flow Matching (AEFM). Leaving out “adaptive” reveals strong conceptual parallels between the two approaches.
Excited to share Equilibrium Matching (EqM)!
EqM simplifies and outperforms flow matching, enabling strong generative performance of FID 1.96 on ImageNet 256x256.
EqM learns a single static EBM landscape for generation, enabling a simple gradient-based generation procedure.
Both perspectives describe systems evolving toward the same equilibrium condition. EqM achieves this through explicit gradient descent on an energy landscape, whereas EFM accomplishes it by learning a fixed-point mapping instead.
4) As alway some react three fiber has to be inside of our project, because we just love it. The curtain in the chrome extension and the font on our website and the video is rendered in realtime with @threejs#r3f@pmndrs.

5) Urbaners is currently a vision with a prototype. We are waiting for your feedback and response and would love to discuss. If there is enough interest in the project we will release it and with it a custom set of NFT cursors to finance the project.
4) Exploration: Follow people through the web to explore like you discover a new street while walking through the city. Social as layer: Have realtime social interaction on any page. Cursors: Bring back the joy of Windows98 cursor customisation through the creation of cursors.
3) Taking a look at projects @dhof@SpatialXR@BoredApeYC@sougenco we feel like there is an opportunity to be a part for the current, 2 dimensional internet. Why do we need 3D Avatars to visualize social structures? Why are we hidden in the web? We focus on three aspects:
2) The web feels like a ghost town, you wander around but no one is there. We think that the web is the new urban and we want to make it more social and fun. We call this experience Urbaners. We want to bring the feeling of full spaces, people around every corner to the web.
