LET'S HATE HIM FOR DECAMPING TO APC & ALSO FOR THE INSECURITY BUT DID HE FAIL IN OTHER TASKS HE IS MEANT TO DO FOR THE STATE?
Let's see... It's justifiable to dislike him for the insecurity cos that's his first mandate, but taking us to 9th most developed state in the country? Worth an applause 👏
Gov. @CalebMutfwang over the past three years, has executed projects from infrastructure, security, healthcare, and education in Plateau State.
Make we check-make am... What & what has he achieved so far?
1. Revitalizing Operation Rainbow: Mutfwang upgraded the state-owned security outfit and trained more personnel for grassroots security.
2. Oga also established a toll-free emergency communication center. I'm sure not everyone knows this.
3. Mutty created the Ministry of Livestock Development, Veterinary Services, and Fisheries.
4. He also rehabilitated 111 kilometers of urban roads across the Jos and Bukuru metropolis to ease traffic. We all know dis one!
5. Initiated the construction of 380 kilometers of farm-to-market roads under the Rural Access and Agricultural Marketing Project (RAMP).
6. Currently revamping the Rwang Pam stadium to a more classy look and increasing it's worth. Hillstation Hotel too is getting a new look at the moment.
7. Procured Toyota Coaster vehicles and introduced subsidized metro-buses to ease daily commuting for residents. And for the first time in a long time, the train system started working in the state. Some of us have never seen a train in motion until Mutfwang came.
8. Slashed tuition fees by 50% for Plateau indigenes studying in state-owned tertiary institutions. Also, he increased state scholarship funding by 300% to support students' educational pursuits.
9. Upgraded the College of Education, Gindiri, into a full degree-awarding institution. Kudos to that.
10. Mutfwang constructed and renovated classrooms across all 17 Local Government Areas (LGAs). Still in progress I heard.
11. He also distributed subsidized tractors to farming communities across the state through the Plateau Agricultural Development Programme.
12. Initiating the cultivation of 900 hectares of land in Barkin Ladi, Mangu, and Riyom LGAs, specifically targeting internally displaced persons (IDPs) in the state.
13. Commenced the clearing of massive, long-standing backlogs of civil service gratuities, death benefits, and unpaid pensions dating as far back as 1986.
14. Heard billions were awarded for the Langtang North Water Project and completed the Yelwa Club Water Treatment Plant in Jos South to resolve years of water scarcity.
I can't remember all but I believe he's done a few projects and has achieved a lot so far. Sentiments of DECAMPING to APC aside, he is still in love with the state.
Let's give him his roses 🌹... He did well. We need him to do more.
Insecurity is the No. 1 issue presently. And he's working on it. However, if insecurity persists, there will be no people to enjoy all these achievements.
When my sister wanted to buy land, she informed my parents.
My dad asked, “Is your husband aware?”
She said, “No.”
Dad replied, “Tell him first and get back to me.”
She never did.
Later, my dad found out through my brother and called her husband.
“Are you aware your wife bought land?”
The husband replied:
“No sir. But why would she do that? All the properties I buy are in both our names.”
My sister called my dad angrily:
“Dad, you want to scatter my marriage!”
My Dad answered her:
“You’re the one already scattering it.”
Twelve years later, she still thanks him. She said her friends had been advising her to buy property secretly.
