@EitanIngall Planning to fix or fuse, long-term?

Reduction looks pretty good now. If long-term plan is fusion, may be able to take the K wires out after six weeks and see how they do. Doesn’t change the long game.

If the plan is to try to fix, ex fix avoids wires across the joint.

@johnelfar Independent practice comes with a responsibility to both do what’s best for your patients and be cost conscious. Value isn’t delivered at the tertiary referral center. It’s at the ASC. Being in urban indep practice gives you access to both. That’s where surgeons find autonomy.

Can use the Stryker bone mill to morselize the fibula. Augment and Dynanail for the dynamic compression. Foot will probably correct, be ready for DF 1st.

@BostonFootAnkle Love the MIS approach. Would get a 5.5 screw in there if possible. Much more biomechanically stable and possibly a better Union rate, based on case series.
