@hannahsbee If people are being nosy, that's clearly wrong. However, if there's been substandard care and concerns then staff not involved in the case would review notes to see if there were improvements to be made, systematic or otherwise. How can we tell if that is the case here or not?
I think it’s really important to lay the blame for these strikes at the door of No.10 and Keir Starmer. It should be a badge of shame for this Government frankly. That doctors feel they have no option other than to strike.
@TapperJosephine@Melissa_S_Ryan I've struggled to understand what some of the questions mean and that's as a doctor with interest in systems and law. I felt like I needed days of solid work to be able to answer
@kcisc Wow! Are you able to post these responses from regulators to each thread? Hold the regulators to some sort of account? I appreciate your relentless work
Resident doctors have written to the Secretary of State explaining why the Government’s latest offer fell short and what must be done to improve it.
If a credible offer is made, resident doctors are prepared to postpone next week’s strikes. We remain committed to further negotiations to secure a deal that protects doctors, patients and the future of the NHS.
Why on earth is the Health Secretary refusing to negotiate with doctors?
Patients already can’t get treated on time, strike action is the last thing they need. Strike action is the last thing that doctors want.
If strikes happen, patients will know who to blame 👇🏻
@DHSCgovuk@wesstreeting There's some good stuff in here, feels like progress but a below inflation pay rise is simply not acceptable. If you think an offer will pass without at least some movement on pay restoration you're mistaken. A multi year agreement not to strike requires a multi year pay deal
@JamesTitcombe Who should provide this urgent second opinion? I am an anaesthetist, often covering maternity but I would not be able to offer an urgent second opinion on obstetric care. I like the idea but am unsure of the practicalities
Medway Maritime Hospital's CEPOD team recently achieved notable recognition for their quality-improvement project with the highly commended prestigious national HSJ Award.

@ShaunLintern Have you reported anything about the inappropriate requests being submitted? Hospitals requesting twice their normal staffing? Hospitals making no plans at all?
@kateshilling69@Dr_Done_@wesstreeting I support paramedics and prehospital teams having time for a proper break and access to hot food and drink. This was not a part of resident doctor demands, or actually offered to resident doctors. No actual offer was made beyond talking about things.
