There is an American tech YouTuber called Jerry Rigs Everything. Most of his videos are about him taking apart devices, understanding how they work etc.
He has 10.2 million subscribers
In 2005 his wife had a horse riding accident as a result of which she was paralyzed waist down. She now required a wheel chair to move about
All high quality outdoor wheelchairs that he tested costed upwards of $20,000
Considering he was a tech Youtuber with some fame he could have simply called one company to get one for free.
He didn't do that
Like he does on his channel, he took apart a wheelchair, understood its components and then built one on his own
He then decided to sell them in public for $999. He called it the Paradox
Thanks to him, most of us can have access to high mobility, all terrain wheelchairs.
This is what tech Youtubers abroad do. They actually make a difference
Meanwhile Our guys haven't yet gone past, "Arre Bhai, Yeh dekho Apple ka agla amazing phone, Isme aapko milta hai 3 camera aur ek screen. See how I am drooling on this packaging and colour" with some pathetically click baity thumbnails
Storm Boelo is battering Scotland and northern England, with more than 40,000 homes and businesses reported without power.
But behind every number is somebody’s home, livelihood or business.
This is Largs, where severe flooding has hit shops in the town. Geraldo’s has shared footage showing the damage, with the owner clearly devastated by what has happened to her shop and neighbouring businesses.
More than 23,000 SSEN customers remain without power, while Northern Powergrid reports outages affecting more than 18,900 properties. Further disruption remains possible as the severe weather continues.
A dreadful night for communities caught in the storm.
And there's a wider lesson here. Keeping a few essentials at home, bottled water, tinned food, a torch, spare batteries and a wind up or battery-powered radio, isn't about preparing for the Russians to come marching down the street.
It's about recognising just how vulnerable we are to extreme weather, how poorly prepared our infrastructure can be, and how quickly the basics we take for granted can disappear.
Being prepared isn't paranoia. It's common sense when the infrastructure we depend on isn't as resilient as it should be.

One of the wettest places on Earth:
200–500in/yr+ (Seattle gets ~40).
Andes are nearly uncrossable.
Mangroves are unclearable.
Rough seas, limited harbors.
Flood-prone, hard to develop.
AND NO DRY SEASON.

I loved Blackadder, it marks the beginning of the end of BBC comedy. After 37 years the real sadness for me seeing that footage again now is knowing that these wars are all Rich Mens Games where they play with millions of life's from behind their drinks cabinets. Thats the really sad part.
Boarding on AI 882 AMD-DEL is delayed by 20 minutes because Supreme Court Judge Vipul Pancholi & wife had to be VIP boarded first. They walk in with a posse of 6 guards + 3 AI staffers. Is this the VIP culture that India’s judiciary advocates? @MLJ_GoI ?

Is hard for anyone to connect the dots. When anyone says that india does not have businesses like US, it is because of this. No one wants to risk and invest their money. And believe it or not, but rupee going to 95 against dollar is cumulative effect of businesses not flourishing in india.
Jagriti Mishra runs an animal shelter and NGO in Delhi. While she was constructing a gaushala on her land, Manish Shishidia’s gundas and corrupt MCD officials arrived without notice and demolished the under-construction building because she refused to bribe the local parshad.
@omarali50 The elites in india have maintained high standards in their hereditary professions (e.g., Banias, Brahmins).
It is the blacksmith, carpenter, farmer who have failed to raise standards. Industrial revolution in west was led by these tradesman. Not by elite.
