Yesterday I raised a serious food-safety concern after finding a lizard inside a sealed Nestlé NESCAFÉ Cold Coffee can purchased through JioMart.

I had consumed approximately 15–20 ml before noticing a foul smell and discovering the foreign object. I subsequently underwent medical examination and an MLC was registered.

I have preserved the original can, foreign object, video, photographs, batch details and purchase invoice and am pursuing the matter through the appropriate authorities.

It is about food safety and accountability.

Requesting @Tukaram_IndIAS @fssaiindia and the concerned authorities to take note and ensure appropriate investigation of the product/batch.
Consumers deserve safe food. Food safety cannot be compromised.

This is a serious food-safety concern requiring an immediate investigation.
On 20 Aug 2026, around 12:00 PM, while consuming a NESCAFÉ Cold Coffee, I noticed an unusual/foul smell. I recorded a video while pouring the drink out and discovered a lizard inside the can.

I have preserved the original can and contents, photographs/videos, purchase invoice and MLC as evidence.
@NestleIndia — please urgently investigate this specific batch, trace the manufacturing and distribution records, and take appropriate food-safety action.

@Tukaram_IndIAS Sir, although this incident occurred in Telangana, I request you to kindly take cognizance and help ensure that the concerned Food Safety authorities conduct a proper investigation.
This is not merely a customer-service complaint. It is a serious food-safety concern requiring ACTION.

I ordered Nescafé Cold Coffee through the JioMart app on 14-Aug-2026. Today, 20-Aug-2026, after consuming approximately 15–20 ml, I discovered a lizard inside the tin.
This is an extremely serious food-safety concern. A foreign animal was found inside a packaged beverage sold to a consumer.
I have preserved the original product, packaging, batch details, photos/videos, JioMart invoice, and hospital medical records relating to this incident.
@NestleIndia @reliancejio @fssaiindia @SajjanarVC_IPS — I request an immediate and thorough investigation into the concerned product and batch, including the manufacturing, quality-control and supply-chain processes. I want to know how this could have happened and what corrective action will be taken to ensure it does not happen to another consumer.
I am ready to provide the original product and supporting evidence to the authorities for independent examination.

* Water Analysis Report and Fostac Certificates of supervisor not available.

* Refrigerators were not maintained properly. Dustbins were found kept in open condition.

* Food articles in the refrigerator were found to be uncovered and unlabelled.

* Semi-prepared and raw materials, food and non-food items were stored together. Few vegetables (tomatoes) found to be spoiled.

* Rusty iron knives were found being used for cutting of vegetables.

* Storage was found to be small and congested. Several food articles were found to be stored on ground instead of pallets.

* Rice flour stored in a steel container was found to be infested with insects and hence discarded.

* Temperature records for the cold room were not maintained.

* Some of the food handlers were found without hairnets, gloves etc.
