August 26-30th, 2024, I attended the 74th WHO RC for Africa in Brazzaville, representing @IPSFAfRO.
We presented policy statements on several key issues. It was also a fantastic experience meeting and connecting with dedicated individuals passionate about improving healthcare!
Recently, our team was received by Prof. Muganga Didas Kayihura, the Vice Chancellor of the University of Rwanda.
Discussions focused on potential areas of collaboration ahead of the 14th IPSF African Pharmaceutical Symposium in Kigali, Rwanda.

Over past few days, i had the honour of attending the 13th IPSF African Pharmaceutical Symposium in Harare. A powerful platform for learning, experience and connection with fellow pharmacists and pharmacy students across Africa.

While in Cairo, I also signed a partnership agreement between IPSF AfRO and the Arab African Council for Awareness (AACA). The partnership aims to strengthen joint efforts in planning and organizing awareness campaigns that promote and protect public health across Africa.
From 25–27 June 2025, I had the privilege of representing @IPSFAfRO at @Africahealthex1 in Cairo. I joined two high-level panels on aligning education, innovation, and youth engagement with health system transformation across the continent.
I spoke on the need to address gaps in mentorship, exposure to diverse career paths, and access to resources. Many students, especially in underserved areas, are expected to compete globally, yet are barely supported locally. That must change.
POV: After a beautiful day in a foreign country, you meet your compatriot and suddenly, the day becomes Rwandaful! 🇷🇼

I had an insightful meeting with @VincenLorusso that focused on the work of #APTF and the EU-AU Innovation Agenda WG. We also discussed several collaboration opportunities that @IPSFAfRO could potentially leverage.
We had an engaging panel discussion on 'Harnessing Technology for a Resilient and Equitable Healthcare System'.
Moderated by @SanoSamuel, it featured a panel of experts: Mr. Pierre KAYITANA, @smugumya, @Othnimbabazi, and Mr. Pascal GATETE.
