Yes, Mexico can have massive exits. Yes, fintech is still the king.
Equifax's US$750 million acquisition of Círculo de Crédito is a great first step in creating a liquidity path for the startup ecosystem.
First, this is the best strategic exit in Mexican “fintech” history. we’re talking 11.7x forward adjusted EBITDA of US$62 million, on revenue of US$134 million in the last 12 months.
That confirms the fintech infrastructure play has real exit potential in Mexico and the wider region. It is good news for the alternative-data, open-finance, behavioral-scoring, and fraud-detection startups building here, along with their investors.
Second, global incumbents no longer treat Mexico as a place for cheap acquisitions but as a new lever of growth.
In the words of Equifax CEO Mark Begor: “Mexico is one of the fastest-growing credit markets globally, expecting to grow very strong double digits over the next few years with continued strong growth thereafter.”
Third, some of the money should flow back into the startup ecosystem.
Even if there is no evidence of any VCs owning an equity stake in Círculo de Crédito, the consortium of banks, and private investors who founded it will most likely become ,or double down as, LPs into local VC funds.
Each exit like this sets a comparable for the next deal, gives investors a reason to keep writing checks, and unlocks capital that funds the next generation of founders.

Y no podía faltar una bandera de México🇲🇽✨
🇲🇽 Kleva raises a US$1.55 million Seed round
Mexican fintech Kleva has raised a US$1.55 million seed round to scale its AI agent platform for debt collection, allowing banks, lenders and fintechs to automate their contact centers with agents that call, negotiate and collect, recovering 25% more debt while reducing operational costs by up to 70%.
The startup targets a structural gap in Latin America, where over US$2.5 trillion in credit is issued annually but collections infrastructure has remained largely manual and inefficient for decades.

@isalololo Hola, mi peor compra de la vida, el sillón literalmente se deshizo a demás de que tenía -2cms de profundidad, te sentabas y te encajabas la estructura.
Firmemente tenía recomiendo no hacerlo, saludos
Cuando duden sobre la eficiencia de Instragram Ads, acabo de comprar este sillón hecho 100% a la medida, en menos de 15 días y por un precio bastante razonable.
Y ni si quiera es el futuro, es el hoy de las ventas y el marketing.
Young people, this rant is for you..
Even the most famous person has 15 minutes to give you—if you give them a good reason to.
Most successful people I know have some combination of family, close friends, a stressful job, unlimited chores—and definitely not enough time to sleep and exercise.
So if you want 15 minutes, they'll find space for you—but you can't just say, "Can I call you?" or, "Can we connect?" or, worst of all, "Let's explore synergies."
Put in the work. Read about them. Understand what this person really can offer you. Write 3-5 simple bullet points of context, along with one concrete ask. If you're sharing attachments, keep them to a single page.
Keep your message short, genuine, and include available times (not a Calendly link). Make sure your signature includes your phone number.
I bet this works better than your standard message—try it and let me know.
Finally, and most importantly: don't feel entitled to anyone's time. If you send a cold email, it doesn't mean they have to respond. Everyone you meet is fighting a battle you know nothing about. Be kind!
@cpgwire Any intel on @CelsiusOfficial ? Since they agreed on the distribution deal and the 538M for 8.5% I imagined a full acquisition would be the outcome sooner than later
