Trump's acts this week are first evidence as to why we must defeat him. The roadmap for doing that is OBVIOUS - it's how we flipped 40 House R Districts - by focusing on commonsense solutions to economic issues facing hardworking Americans. We didn't win with extreme positions
@HeathMayo Republicans like @LindseyGrahamSC have made a true deal with the devil and are now committed to simply ignoring the vile racism spewing forth from the President’s mouth. It is this kind of abandonment of duty and morals that leads us down the road to authoritarianism.
“To announce that there must be no criticism of the President, or that we are to stand by the President, right or wrong, is not only unpatriotic and servile, but is morally treasonable to the American public.”
Theodore Roosevelt
For anyone who needs reminding of how a lot of Republicans like me were raised and how we view the world. I love you Dad and I've never missed your leadership more.

A chant like “Send her back!” is ugly and dangerous, and it is the inevitable consequence of President Trump’s demagoguery. This is how history’s worst episodes begin. We must not allow this man to take us to such a place.
I challenge every Republican to watch @realDonaldTrump’s rally last night, complete with chants of “Send her back”, and ask if that is the Party of Lincoln and Reagan we signed up for. We are in a fight for the soul of the GOP, and silence is not an option. #AmericaDeservesBetter
Would @realDonaldTrump ever tell a white immigrant - whether 1st, 2nd, 3rd or 4th+ generation - to "go back to your country"? No. That's why the comments were racist and unacceptable.
America is a nation of immigrants founded on the ideals of free thought and free speech. 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
remember when the US presidency wasn't a twentyfourseven firehose of bullshit fucknuttery sprayed right into your face at all hours of the day and night? good fucking god please let's go back to having a president you barely ever had to think about unless it was important
My plan BetterCare provides universal health care coverage to everyone as a basic right – for free. But it also allows people to have the option to keep their private plans. Here's what @BernieSanders isn't telling you about Medicare for All:
What gets me most is the President's suggestion that because their skin isn't white, they are "from" another place. Three are born in the USA. The only Americans that are "from" America, by this logic, are Native Americans. If POTUS wants these four to leave, we all should.
None of us are less American or less loyal because of the color of our skin. When @POTUS tells us to "go back" to where we came, that's racist! But guess what? We aren't going anywhere. America is our home & we'll still be here long after the occupant of this White House is gone.
@JohnDelaney I'm curious why this message is directed at @SenSanders. He's falling in the polls. Why not go after other candidates who are endorsing or flirting with Medicare-for-all?
We can’t afford more impossible promises from politicians. We have someone in the White House who already does that. It’s time for the rest of the candidates in the field to be honest with the American people. Here’s what Senator Sanders isn’t willing to tell you about M4A:
