@TheWellingtonP @the_vp5 @gardensinboots There wasn’t masses of fast food outlets in the 50s - we are constantly picking up food and drink packaging as people are consuming loads of it on the move. People are generally consuming more of everything - fly tipping is bad as people don’t want to pay to dispose of rubbish.
@robkewley77 I think it’s a culture of laziness - lots of lazy people who don’t care about the state of the city they live in or care if they cause a problem for others with illegal parking. Expect lots of people left their rubbish for someone to pick up at the end of the day as well.
@BhamCityCouncil just wanted to say thank you to the street cleaning truck driving down moor green lane b13 8 this morning (I think it was no. 3810 but not sure 🙈) . The bin crew missed mine & my neighbour’s bins so they kindly emptied them for me and put it in their truck.
@LizClements @KirstendeVos It’s not safe getting buses in winter evenings when you have to walk 15-20 mins in the dark to your house when you get off. This is the case where I live even though it’s less than 3 miles to city centre. Pretty appalling really.
@robkewley77 @BhamCityCouncil Horrendous and its the second time the litterbusters have cleared it up - it was equally bad last time. The council need to get it on a cleaning schedule as they own the space. Sad to see a large space & building in such a state instead of being used .
@gardensinboots@Kingsnortonfarm This is why I keep saying we need a bus down queensbridge rd ! Buses along pershore rd are not very frequent and it’s a long walk
@jacobbadger@gardensinboots@BCC_Help@CllrMajid We we report overflowing bins / litter issues all the time - not just because the games are on. Surely we want visitors to have a nice time here though and not have litter spoil it.
