@TTRadioOfficial The benefits of properly meeting the needs of children & families early is fiscally huge, both in terms of education/employment opportunities, & longterm health outcomes (mental/obesity/smoking/CVD), as well as impacting social cohesion/mobility & criminal justice.
A no brainer?
@TTRadioOfficial As it stands however, elitist ableism persists. And parents feel they have to push for diagnosis & EHCP, to help get their child's needs met. Not ignoring the fact that ADHD meds can be massively beneficial for focus, behavioural/emotional regulation, task planning/ organisation.

Please read. We want a different future for children with SEND: inclusive and tailored to meet their needs, so everyone has the chance to achieve and thrive. Is this not what you want? Because it doesn't sound like it, from comments on ear defenders etc.
@TTRadioOfficial Wow I wish that someone would kindly take these ignorant people to one side and educate them about sensory science. Everyone has sensory sensitivities, it's just that we are all tuned differently.
And some folk get overwhelmed with noise and struggle to concentrate due to that.
Erica Kirk just publicly forgave the young man who killed her husband, Charlie. Through tears to a rising crowd’s applause, she forgave him.
“The answer to hate is not hate, the answer we know from the gospel is love and only love. Love for our enemies and love for those who persecute us.”
— @MrsErikaKirk
@CossinsJudith@DrugsDocRT@dignityindying Also to echo the comments made by others to your answer, many of us have experienced the precious & dignified time left of close relatives with horrendous terminal disease. Without the pressure or guilt of questioning whether the timing of their end should be hastened.
@CossinsJudith@DrugsDocRT@dignityindying If this was the situation you wouldn't be helped by this bill. Have you read what assisted dying involves? They wouldn't be able to swallow the self administered medication required to die. It's grim and tragic that this isn't even being addressed. Do a search it's not euthanasia
@dignityindying One only has to search/ask AI the number of capsules required to be swallowed by a patient in the AD process in order to see that this in itself poses a problem for the seriously ill/frail patient. They would need to self administer/swallow. People need to know what it involves.
@dignityindying There are many reasons ethically to be extremely perturbed about this bill.
But can you tell me and your followers whether assisted dying is guaranteed to be painless, peaceful and dignified? Because if (I suspect) not, it doesn't even do what it says on the tin. Which is tragic.
Not really sure why, in a massive spike of flu, we are not wearing FFP3 masks in heathcare & using improved ventilation, to limit transmission & protect the workforce. The evidence given in the COVID enquiry is clear that pandemic infection control measures were outdated.
📣PUBLIC SERVICE MESSAGE FOR NHS STAFF:
If you want to “avoid the four horsemen of the wards (flu, Covid, noro & RSV) over the next week so you’re not sick for Christmas”, then the best thing you can do would be to wear an FFP3 mask and open the windows to improve ventilation.
@Kit_Yates_Maths Do we have any stats on whether those infected have been vaccinated or not?
I know some folk who have had nasty flu like illness despite getting immunised.
I still can't get my head round why folk don't think about wearing FFP3 masks to prevent transmission, especially in NHS.
Since 1997 there have been no less than 25 commissions, select committee inquiries & white papers on social care.

... announcing the 26th one 😳
If everyone working with children and adults with additional needs read and truly embraced this advice, it would profoundly enhance the lives of these communities.
This. Read and weep.
When can we have leaders who will face up to and address the main issues we are facing as a society?
@wesstreeting@Keir_Starmer
The health service & social care stand & fall together. We don't need any more time to examine this issue.
