A large, shallow magnitude 7.1 earthquake struck near Montalbán, Venezuela at 3:04 PM local time.

⚠️Shallow Depth: 8.2 miles
⚠️ Aftershocks expected.

Although it could be unrelated.. On February 6, 2023, a devastating M7.8 earthquake struck near Turkey and Syria.
A few days earlier, on January 31, 2023, there was a M6.8 earthquake near the Venezuela–Colombia border.

🚨 BREAKING: A massive M8.1 earthquake has struck off the coast of Mindanao, Philippines.

Potential impacts:

A strong magnitude 7.0 earthquake struck near the South Shetland Islands (Antarctica region).

📍 Depth: ~11 miles (18 km)
🕔 Time: Mar 19, 5:22 PM

This quake occurred along the boundary between the Antarctic Plate and Scotia Plate, a highly active seismic zone near the Drake Passage.

⚠️ No major population centers nearby, but notable due to magnitude and tectonic setting.
