This is a great tool to make math more engaging for students! I have seen many digital manipulatives for math instruction being used in the classroom; however, I haven't seen this one before. I like that this tool allows students to show their thought process.

This is also a new tool to me! Although I have not used it before, it seems as though SeeSaw is a great tool that teachers should use in their classrooms. It is great that both the students and teachers can upload videos of fluent reading on this platform.
#gilmaned210
This article has many amazing ideas. For example, SeeSaw allows both the students and teachers to upload videos of fluency in reading and the creation of new stories as well. This is new to me! This in my opinion is a amazing tool and resource. #gilmaned210
Graspable Math is a great tool that should be used in the classroom because it gives students live feedback for their math work. Teachers can use this tool to share engaging math activities with their class.

Tim Brzezinski is the master at using digital tools for teaching math. At the #VirtualMath21 conference he shared on a new tool Graspable Math. This tool is a game changer for helping students gain procedural fluency.

This is a great resource that teachers can refer to when selecting digital math tools for their classroom to ensure they are appropriate. Teacher should tests out the tools and become familiar with them before introducing them to their students.

@K_Costello24 The interactive learning menus can really transform a students' learning by given them choice in how they wish to represent their knowledge. This will ultimately lead to increased engagement and pride in their work.
#gilmaned210
@pmanning425 I found this article to be very helpful in discovering new digital tools I can use in my future classroom for formative assessments. It was helpful that there was a written explanation with each tool.
#gilmaned210
ShowMe Interactive Whiteboard is a great tool! Teachers can use it as their whiteboard for distance learning, and they can record lessons. Students can also use this app to draw, write, and even do voice overs explaining their work.
#gilmaned210
@kwatt581 That is a great idea! It is crucial that students are given choice and allowed to choose what works best for them. There is not a one size fit all when it comes to learning styles.
#gilmaned210
@Alyssa_ED1 This is a great tool, especially during remote learning! Teachers can easily give their students assignments through this app and make modifications as they see fit.
#gilmaned210
This article explains the connection between Project Based Learning and Universal Design for Learning. It explains no longer doing scaffolding just for students identified as struggling, but instead allowing all students to choose the given supports as they see fit.

"As I intentionally design scaffolds for my classroom, I think of those students who are โat the edgesโ of my classroom." https://t.co/1FZUl16m06

@JuliePurtschert This is a great visual that shows not only SAMR but also Bloom's Taxonomy. Teachers can refer to the action words and example of potential activities to use in the own classroom!
#gilmaned210
@SophiaW29792602 I agree, there is a clear digital divide in todays society. Unfortunately, students have fallen behind in school during Covid because of issues with remote learning.
#gilmaned210
@EHurley2024 I found this article to be a valuable read because it provides a different point of view in regards to digital distractions. It mentions how parents of children with behavioral problems are using screens more often as a distraction.
#gilmaned210
@SophiaW29792602 Integrating podcasts into the classroom is a great idea! It can not only help students become problem solvers, but it can enhance their technology skills. It is important that students are seeing different types of technology, and have opportunities to use it.
#gilmaned210
@kwatt581 This is a great tool to engage students in developing comprehension of formulas. I like that this tool allows students to see how functions can be altered.
#gilmaned210
@JuliePurtschert This is a great tool to implement into the classroom! Gizmo simulations allow for real world experiences that students would not likely otherwise have been able to interact with.
#gilmaned210
The ABC Kids-Tracing & Phonics talks is an add free app that has students practice tracing upper and lowercase letters of the alphabet. This could be integrated into the classroom to allow students practice with their tracing of letters as well as phonics.
#gilmaned210
@pmanning425 This is a great visual of what SAMR model looks like in practice. It can be difficult to differentiate between the different stages. I found the examples at the bottom of the visual to be helpful.
#gilmaned210
This article addresses how we should be rethinking SAMR and TPACK. Instead of viewing them as "climbing as high as you can," we should focus on our goal when integrating technology. Also, being at the highest level of SAMR is not always the most efficient.
#gilmaned210
@JuliePurtschert I agree, while the 4C's in 21st century learning place an emphasis on working collaboratively with others, it does bring to light some challenges. Teachers should refer to this article for tips on how students can collaborate effectively in groups.
