Saying women are "lazy" are not moms who are constantly working to provide meals and making the home clean and tidy is just their part time job whereas most have full time jobs as well. So the work does not stop. So a part time and full time job. Women/moms are not lazy #gndr1000
I totally agree with you Nayyer Taban, it seams like we are still in the family dynamic of men being the breadwinners and women are the home makers, nothing has changed over the years. #gndr1000
With making models who are already skinny smaller in pictures, changing their faces to look fake and unrealistic. The influence is hard for the younger generation to grow up in a healthy manner if they are constantly looking at magazines and seeing the unattainable body #gndr1000
@au_kaleigh I totally agree I feel with all these unrealistic body shapes are affecting everyone from children to adults. Affecting the way they see themselves, making them depressed and have alot of eating disorders. I think leave peoples bodys natural. #gndr1000
@tiffanyvatcher I also think that way also, not knowing the dark past and how it has changed over the years. I feel like I look at Canada's history in a whole new light, showing that canada wasnt always the amazing happy country as it is portrayed as today #gndr1000
The video "being black in canada", I found it amazing to learn more about Viola Desmond and the way they are keeping her story alive, from her face on the ten dollar bill to the heritage minute done on her. I'm glad that canada is working on keeping her memory alive #gndr1000
From the video we watched about canada 150 I never thought too much into the history but after learning about it, it makes me think why we are celebrating 150 and not celebrating the time first nations have inhabited the land of Canada Which just makes you wonder why. #gndr1000
I also think it's amazing to see the progress that Canada as a country I'd going through to make the country more understanding of the different races and history #gndr1000
I also find that Gaelynn Lea's perspective was very empowering and I'm glad to see that see that she is so courageous and strong. I also find she is a great speaker with great perspectives! #gndr100
I was inspired by Gaelynn Lea's optimism and courage. Many time, we feel unhappy just because we don't happen to fit the conventional standard of beauty. Her talk gives not only disability but also healthy people courage to free from the conventional standard of beauty. #gndr1000

In sexuality and disability video Gaelynn talked about some important and interesting points for me the point she made that she was free from the social beauty standards because she herself didnt even think that it was obtainiable which is a blessing in disguise for her #gndr1000
I feel that police in pride parades are almost necessary for the safety & protection of parade goers. first handed I witnessed intense homophobia to the point that they wanted to do harm and this could be a place where homophobic individuals to make that largest impact.#gndr1000
For me I found it very interesting that first nations described themselves as two-spirt. That the two different personalities are cherished so greatly in the community. I love how they describe sexuality and how they are very understanding and excepting of every form.#gndr1000
I found also that's these videos really opened my eyes to understanding how to better educate myself in the ways of communicating and understanding what they are going through.
#gndr1000 The videos used in the week 4 content where extremely helpful with regards to using the correct terminology. I didn't know alot of the terms used. Having a better understanding will help insure I am not offending anyone and helping everyone feel included and accepted.
I found that the trans 101 video was really informative and I feel like more people need to see this video to understand how to communicate in a non-offensive manner. For me I learned new things from the video and I'm sure others would too. #gndr1000
I completely agree because in news, movies and TV shows that it's always makes shown as being wrongly murdered. For me I had no idea of how many women are wrongly murdered and are never shown in media, and forgotten about.
In Status Quo movie, I was really shocked on how many people are against abortion. And now in Loisiana where abortarion laws are out banning abortion. Which is sad to see the basic human right taken away from women. #gndr1000
