The Post editorializes:
"The decision to send FBI agents to raid a Post reporter’s home was an aggressive attack on the press freedom of all journalists. Yet anyone who believes the raid will deter reporters from doing their jobs is sorely mistaken." https://t.co/UIv8ITT8vG
Scoop: Texas has quietly pushed 6,400 truckers with asylum, refugee or DACA status out of work in response to demands from the Trump administration that the state revoke commercial driver's licenses whose expiration dates don't match work permits.
Many truckers had no warning.🧵
Amy Klobuchar: “What’s the difference between Greenland and Donald Trump? Greenland isn’t for sale.”
She added, “And to any Trump ally who wants to throw eggs at me over that joke—you can’t. Eggs are too expensive.”

The oligarch backers of Trump’s gaudy new White House ballroom are swimming in conflicts of interest.
A new Public Citizen report finds that 16 of the corporate donors hold $279B in federal contracts, including Lockheed Martin’s $191B.
Together, they’ve spent $1.6B on lobbying and campaign cash in 5 years. They’re not just funding a ballroom — they’re buying influence.
@public_citizen
If they just taxed compound interest. Ultimately, taxing passive income will not impact the exponential increase in rich people’s money, and would bring money into the gov’t instead of tearing apart Social Security and Medicaid.
This is singularly the most important thing we can collectively do, and it’s a bipartisan issue.
Get corporate money out of politics and the government no longer serves the interests of corporate money, and then corporations no longer *own* the government.
This is some of the best political news I've seen in a very long time.
There's a clear a way to end Citizens United by changing state incorporation laws - and now luminaries in both parties are forcing a vote on it in the 2026 election.
People say the division we currently see in America started with Barack Obama.
They’re right.
The landslide election of the first African American President made racists, white nationalists and other fringe extremists lose their minds.
And they never recovered.
OBAMA: It's fair to say that 80% of the world's problems involve old men hanging on who are afraid of death and insignificance, and they won't let go. They build pyramids, and they put their names on everything. They get very anxious about it.
In the last few years we've seen:
- The plot to kidnap Gretchen Whitmer
- The Storming of the Capitol and pipe bombs left at the RNC and DNC
- The break-in to kidnap Nancy Pelosi and the brutal on Paul Pelosi
- Multiple assassination attempts against Trump
- The assassination of Minnesota House Speaker Melissa Hortman and her husband and the shooting of on State Senator John Hoffman and his wife
- Luigi Mangione's assassination of Brian Thompson
- The assassination of Charlie Kirk
Political violence is contagious. It is spreading. It is not confined to one side or belief system. It should terrify us all.
The foundation of a free society is the ability to participate in it without fear of violence. Political violence is always an attack against us all. You have to be so blind not to see that.
If you ask the rest of the world, paper ballots are the only safe way to vote.
Ever wonder if maybe the voting machines in 2020 were rigged & if we hadn’t been in a pandemic, Trump would’ve won? And maybe that’s where the Stop The Steal tantrum came from? Paper can’t be hacked
Trump: Look at California with that horrible governor they have. One of the worst governors in history. He is incompetent, he doesn't know what he is doing.
Vladimir Putin, smart guy, said you can't have an honest election with mail-in voting.
