We cannot be more thankful for Mick Lynch’s service to the RMT, obviously in his most recent role as GS & figurehead of our union’s biggest battle in a generation; but also throughout his entire career. We hope he enjoys his retirement, and won’t be a stranger to our conference.
The library is an incredible resource. Free and accessible, with an amazing collection of material on working class and labour movement history, and wonderfully friendly and knowledgeable staff. If you’ve not been before, make sure you do soon!

@marcusbarnett_ The minute understanding held by most people of how the railway operates is coming out today. The main role of a guard is not to check tickets it’s to ensure the safe dispatch of the train. If you want no guards on trains, prepare to stand back watch the death toll rise
Come to the launch of the new collection of Raphael Samuel's historical essays, Workshop of the World – Mon, 12th Feb
I'll be in conversation with the great Sally Alexander, on Raph and his work (there'll be wine, too)
Free and open to all
