Today our CFO @PhilipLoach presented FF Russ Jones with the Chief Fire Officer's Commendation - our services highest recognition. This follows his actions at a severe house fire whilst off duty, which saved the life of a young child.

Our members of staff share their honest and individual perspectives on the importance of how they are supporting the battle against the virus and the way in which it has shown itself to be indiscriminate towards age, gender, or fitness levels - particularly to those of colour.
We have been in attendance at a large factory fire in sparkhill. We have over 125 firefighters dealing with the fire. We recommend that doors and windows in the local vicinity be kept closed for the next few hours.
Another 100 volunteers from our staff are training this weekend to help @stjohnambulance deliver the NHS COVID-19 vaccinations. Just a week ago another 140 were trained, including Lucy from @SWMFireControl. Check out her video!
