{#VAPPAct Update} As at March 2025, Only Kano state have not adopted the Violence Against Persons Prohibition (VAPP) Act 2015 nor passed it into law. In Kogi, Borno, Jigawa, and Katsina, the Act has been passed into law but not gazetted.
The VAPP Act is an innovative piece of legislation that provides for a robust response, care and support services to survivors of SGBV.
Call your state government and elected representatives today and ask them to prioritise the passing and implementation of the VAPP Act.
