John Cleese and Rowan Atkinson feel like the last two adults left in the room.

For years they’ve been saying the quiet part out loud: free speech matters, humour is not a crime, and a society that cannot laugh at itself is already sick.

And for that simple, decent stance they have been dragged through the cancellation machine.

These are not angry ideologues.

They are two men who just wanted to make people laugh and tell the truth.
Instead they have been treated like heretics smeared, isolated, and told to sit down and shut up by people who once claimed to love satire.

The British humour they helped create the kind that was razor sharp, fearless, and never cruel for the sake of it has almost disappeared.

That humour didn’t just entertain us.
It made us stronger. It taught us not to take ourselves so seriously. It gave us thicker skin.

Now that skin is being deliberately stripped away, and the only ones still trying to protect it are the ones the culture keeps trying to cancel.
Cleese and Atkinson never asked to be heroes.

A Russian cruise missile flew roughly 100 km into Poland during last night’s mass attack on Ukraine.

It left a large crater near the villages of Tarnawa-Kolonia and Tokary in the Lublin Voivodeship. Given that Russia launched Kh-101 cruise missiles overnight, the missile is believed to have been one of them.

The Scottish Government's Health Secretary has been told that she must explain why she is funded a charity that runs "chestfeeding" sessions for trans women 🤔

There has been a public outcry after it was revealed that a "Queer Milk" organisation was handed taxpayer cash to promote this controversial issue.

LGBT Health and Wellbeing holds weekly sessions in Edinburgh so transgender women, who are biological men, can give human milk to their babies.

It has been handed hundreds of thousands of pounds from the SNP Executive, as well as the NHS and Scottish councils.

“Why are you posting instead of going to a shelter?”

I read that comment, and I want to answer it.

The air raid siren started shortly after 1 a.m. My two children were already asleep. Unless you’ve had to wake sleeping children in the middle of the night because of incoming missiles, it’s hard to imagine what that feels like.

I live in an apartment building. There is no proper bomb shelter nearby. The only option is the basement of our building. But when missiles are already in the air, running outside can be just as dangerous. Shrapnel can strike at any moment.

And let’s be honest: the basement of a regular apartment building is not guaranteed protection from a missile strike. It may help protect against drone debris or fragments, but not against a direct missile hit.

There is no subway in Vinnytsia where we can take shelter. We use what we have: hallways, basements, and the “two-wall rule.” That’s all many of us have to protect our children.

So yes, I stay behind two walls. At that moment, it’s the best I can do to keep my children safe.

And one more thing.

Why do I post while missiles are flying?

Because silence doesn’t save lives.

I write because I want the world to see and understand what Ukrainian families are living through every single day. These are not just headlines or statistics. This is our reality.

I write with the hope that our stories will reach people who make decisions. That Ukraine will receive more air defense systems. That our skies will become safer. That fewer children will wake up to explosions.

We are not asking for pity.

We are asking to be heard.

Because while you’re reading these words, Ukrainian parents are once again holding their children close as explosions echo outside.

Sophie Cunningham: “I want to protect young girls in a locker room, or young girls in sport who shouldn't have to go against biological men”

Cue a deluge of "Sophie Cunningham speaks out against "trans" athletes." and " Sophie Cunningham wants to bar 'transgender' students from girls' sports!"

That is not what Sophie said. She did not say "trans" athletes should be banned from anything. She did not mention "trans" at all.

Even the framing of "Sophie Cunningham says 'transwomen' shouldn't play on women's teams" is dishonest. These outlets could just as well be saying, "Sophie Cunningham says fat men should not be allowed on women's teams," or "single fathers should not be allowed on women's teams."

She's not homophobic or racist because she doesn't want gay men or Asian men to play on women's teams. She didn't single out any specific group or target anyone. It was a general statement.

Her statement "biological men" refers to ALL MEN. So of course "transwomen" are included in that statement.

They're men.

All other groups of men comply with the rules.

Briefing from Mykhailo Drapatyi, Ihor Skybiuk, Yevhenii Khmara, and Pavlo Palisa. We discussed in detail the challenges we are facing now because of Russia’s tactics of ballistic missile strikes, and our ability to counter this tactic, both at the military and diplomatic levels. We identified solutions and technological steps, as well as asymmetric measures that can give Ukraine greater protection.

There was a briefing on the situation at the front, primarily in the areas of Slovyansk and Kostiantynivka, and also on the situation with the maritime export corridor – what has already been done in this area and what action plan is still to be implemented. I am grateful to all the warriors and units involved in carrying out our plan of long-range sanctions against Russia for its war. Our mid-range strikes operation against Russian forces and positions in the temporarily occupied territory of Ukraine, including our Crimea, is ongoing. We updated the list of top priorities for mid-range strikes. I instructed the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine to strengthen information-sharing and coordination with military leadership in the countries of our region. The teams at Ukraine’s Ministry of Defense and the Office will work with our partners in Europe who can help with the supply of air defense missiles.

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine is preparing a number of systemic changes that will, among other things, allow for a clearer assessment of the situation on the front line, a more rapid response to changes in the situation, and greater opportunities for brigades to respond effectively to Russian assault activity. Thank you to all the units that are truly holding Ukraine’s positions and preventing the occupier’s army from achieving the objectives set for it by Russia’s political leadership. Glory to Ukraine!
