The 2020 Sask Police & Peace Officer Memorial has been cancelled due to the pandemic. In order to remember our fallen, a private ceremony which will feature the reading of the Honour Roll will be held. This will be webcast live on the Regina Police Facebook Page on Sunday at 11AM

This is a sampling of some of the ridiculous speeds drivers were caught at in the last few days around Saskatoon. Every time you get into that driver seat, you become responsible for the lives of all those around you. Driving is no joke. Let’s keep each other safe.

Officers at Saturday night’s #SPScheckstop were kept busy. One driver tried to evade the checkpoint and ended up charged with impaired driving. 3 drivers suspended at roadside, one for driving while high. Also multiple warrants executed and a breach of conditions charge laid.
Police just responded to a priority call with lights & sirens. Officers got caught in traffic on 25th St when many motorists failed to move out of the way. Please, if you see any emergency vehicles with their lights & sirens on, pull to the right and STOP #yxetraffic
Dec 21 is winter solstice, the shortest day of the year. A perfect opportunity to remind motorists that modern cars are equipped with daytime running lights that automatically turn on the headlights. BUT you still need to manually turn on all the other lights after dark.
