Tech co's in US give serverance pay to layoff employees but same co's don't pay anything in India.

The board of trustees of provident fund #EPFO @socialepfo today slashed the #PF interest rate to 8.1% for 2021-22, the lowest rate since 1977-78, when it was 8%.

The interest rate was 8.5 per cent in 2020-21.
