BC landlords should be allowed to charge double rent when a tenant refuses to pay and forces the landlord to go through arbitration.
Right now, tenants can drag the process out while the landlord carries the mortgage, taxes, insurance, repairs, and legal costs.
There needs to be a real penalty for abusing the system.
