A2 Dominion variation in planning application for #156WEL— driven by greed, ignoring housing need... and over 1,200 objections from local residents. #WestHampstead#Whamp https://t.co/amfZRwRgvU
@DannyBeales@Georgia_Gould@camdentalking @Olszewski_R @tomemurtha In fact, @DannyBeales was alerted to the shutting down of the comments functionality on the planning portal a week ago. In that time, the 'Comments until' date has regressed 26 days and the ability to comment via the portal is still denied. What sort of 'consultation' is this?
Important information for @camdentalking@DannyBeales@Georgia_Gould @Olszewski_R whose housing 'strategy' (if it can even be called that) bequeathed to them by Theo Blackwell MBE, is possible only until such time as there are no publicly owned assets left to sell-off.
No the truth is we can only build the homes we need, ie social rent homes, with significant government investment. Cross subsidy never did and never will produce the number of social rent homes required to overcome the housing crisis. Let’s not kid ourselves it can @insidehousing
@DannyBeales@Georgia_Gould@camdentalking @Olszewski_R @tomemurtha Instead of trying to defend the indefensible with petty attempts at political point scoring, perhaps you could deal with the issue at hand, to which you were alerted early this morning, and about which nothing appears to have been done all day. https://t.co/gCs3Kd0rhO
Bless these guys! Putting the 'development' into 'Neighbourhood Forum', with inconsistent approaches to planning applications (1) AND colluding with a key player in the Westminster Homes for Votes gerrymandering scandal (2).

Hi @CamdenCouncil. Nice and reassuring letter in our building today. That now makes it no fire extinguisher, no fire doors, no smoke alarms and no sprinkler system. 😐 #Camden#Grenfell
Over four hours since being notified, Camden have not enabled #156WEL comments; the 'Comments Until' date remains 22 September. Once again it appears that Camden are doing everything possible to minimise public engagement with what is a far worse proposal than the original.
@Georgia_Gould@camdentalking@DannyBeales @Olszewski_R So goes the mantra. Facts are:
1. HRA borrowing cap scrapped a year ago.
2. Councils hold reserves.
3. Borrowing rates are at a historic low.
4. Investment in council homes guarantees long-term future incomes. @tomemurtha
Meanwhile, the public asset give-away continues unabated.
Camden failed to properly post planning notices for over 8 weeks since #156WEL variation was lodged. Despite this and assurances from @DannyBeales that the comments period would be extended, the 'Add Comment' functionality was shut down on Thursday. Community non-engagement.
@dannycarrier@NewJournal The article contains a quote from A2D's Danny Lynch: "We have listened to stakeholders' concerns and the proposed changes... reflect the general feedback we have received."
Questions are: Which stakeholders? What feedback?
There's a great #156WEL article by @dannycarrier in today's @NewJournal. See the Property News section on p22. We'll follow-up with a link to the online version of the article as soon as it goes live. Many thanks to Dan and the CNJ for their continued coverage of #StopTheBlocks.
